Sen. Inhofe: Harry Reid Should Be Recalled

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid should be recalled by voters over his "un-American” remarks about the Iraq war, Sen. James Inhofe declared.

Speaking with NewsMax pundit Steve Malzberg on "Bill Bennett’s Morning in America” radio program Wednesday morning, Inhofe, an Oklahoma Republican, expressed outrage over Reid’s criticism of the Bush administration’s Iraq policy, his call for a timetable for withdrawal and his assertion that the Iraq war is "lost.”

Asked if the Nevada Democrat should resign from his leadership position because of his comments, Inhofe said: "I think it’s more serious than that. I think there should be a recall . . . for saying something as un-American as that.”

He also said: "But it would have to emanate from the people who elected him.

"I can’t imagine that something isn’t going to happen.”

I called and wrote both TN Senators Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker. Staff said they have been getting many similar calls.
Hopefully our republicans will show they have some stones.

There is not a good track record on recalling Senators. The last time it was tried, against Frank Church in Idaho in 1967, it generated a sympathy vote that greased his re-election.

It is likely that even if such an effort were successful, the courts would overturn it on the basis that state laws governing recalls do not apply to Federal offices.

It is far better to let Reid continue to be a sock puppet for the dominant George Soros wing of the Democrat party until he is up for re-election next in 2010. He's the perfect poster boy of how someone elected as a moderate turns into a Soros sock puppet when they get political power.

Tancredo said every soldier that died would be Reid’s fault, or something to that effect.

If the voters of Nevada were stupid enough to elect him, how could they be smart enough to recall him?

“First Hunter, now Inhofe. Each and every Republican has to come out and give Reid hell.”

Chuck Hagel, Voinovich?

Tancredo said it would be Reid’s fault when any of our troops die from now on.

I know that but it would be good to get a movement started nothing the less. :-)

It might be better for us politically to have Reid bury himself in his own treason -- but, truly, what he says is indeed emboldening the enemy. That's the whole reason people are discussing a recall.

If this were about anything other than national security, I'd say sure. Let him make a fool of himself and commit political suicide.

But he's putting our troops in greater danger. We should be thankful to anyone in Nevada who would see this and act on it.

“Maybe an Apology Tour would be acceptable.”

Democrats don’t apologize, they only say they are sorry you were offended.

We lost, the war is over, assume the position because the winners will be arriving in due course. So sayeth Filthy Harry the Emir of the US Senate.

That and a few inches of rainwater will grow nice tomatoes.

I look at Harry Reid and wonder, “How does a lowlife like this end up in such a high ranking position in our government.” He’s so dirty, with all his undisclosed land deals (one even with a mafia lawyer) and so unimpressive as a man.

Dip a piece of toast into a glass of milk, that soggy, dripping gunk you are left with - that’s Harry Reid.

Guess what America, as long as we sit back and let turds like this guy represent an entire state, we are finished.

The best I can tell is that people are drinking the Kool Aid of the MSM every day and are taking no time to look at reality.
Think about this: With 5 billion plus people on the planet to report news on; how come the alphabet networks ALL carry the SAME NEWS?

The Senate Majority Loser gets a free pass with the media because he is a democRAT and can do no wrong.

“Are there any Nevada Freepers who can tell us how his treachery is being reported in Nevada and how it’s playing with his constituents?”

I would also like to know what the people of Nevada think of Reid’s actions. If anything were to happen to Reid over his anti-American statements it would have to come from the citizens of Nevada. The DEMS would never do anything, and seems there are only a handful of Republicans who have any courage at all.

Thanks for pointing this out, Vigilanteman. Frank Church was a traitor, if ever there was one.

You are also right about using Reid’s record in 2010. His opponent can Daschle him to pieces.
