Please. Talk about boring!
I’m a Child of the ‘80s, too, so no generational stuff, please.
If you’re talking 16 Candles, well, then, that’s another story.

The opening is classic, going from Manhattan, to the Brooklyn Bridge, to the Verrazzano to 86th under the B tracks.
Interestingly enough, he starts out around 86th and 15th, struts at first in the wrong direction, stops for Pizza at Roma (still there by the way) at 86th and 17th, finds himself at 69th and 5th in front of the Alpine Theater two minutes later, winding up at the hardware store (74th and 5th, I believe), after checking out that hot chick.
For those interested, the house Tony live in is on 79th Street between 3rd Avenue and Ridge Boulevard. It hasn't changed since, with even the rusty flagpole still there.

The best thing about Sixteen Candles is the parody it inspired on "Family Guy":
Peter: "Jake, NOT like THIS!!!"

I got a Serius radio for Christmas and they play Bee Gees and even Andy Gibb on the 70’s channel, quite often.

“The Donger’s been here 4 hours, and he’s got somebody. I’ve been here all my life and I’m like a disease.”
Pretty funny movie. And nice to ID with a somewhat “out” girl for a change.

Whoa! By St. Pat's and Carol's Luncheonette (CHEAPEST breakfast in the five boroughs).
I was four blocks away, in the same building as BR Stars bar, which closed after the smoking ban. I miss Bay Ridge, though not the commute.

My folks got married in St. Pat’s. G-Ma remembers when Bay Ridge was farms and Fourth Ave was a dirt road past a certain point.

Yes, and I’m sure you know folks who remember when Canarsie was known as “The Sh-thouse” as that is where the cities solid waste was dumped. Provided good fertilizer for the tomato farms that were there until the 1950s, however.

There used to be a great disco revival club down in Boca Raton, FL, where I used to go with my friends when I was visiting my parents. It closed about 8 years ago, but was fun while it lasted.

Me too. And it didn’t have the bad words and nasty language like some of today’s music, if you can call it that, which I don’t.
