WASHINGTON — President Bush is on a collision course with Democrats in Congress, who late Monday agreed to send him a timeline for withdrawal along with a $124.2 billion Iraq war emergency spending bill.
Before a standing room-only audience in the bowels of Capitol Hill, House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey, D-Wis., announced the end of a conference meeting between House and Senate lawmakers after less than an hour. No formal vote was held on the legislation, an indication the fate of the bill was already sealed before the members arrived.
The emphasis of the legislation is on a timetable, specifically the requirement that troops begin withdrawing by Oct. 1, 2007, with a goal, though not a mandate, to withdraw all combat forces within the subsequent six months. Troops could come out as early as this summer if the Iraqi government does not enact political and security reforms.
"This agreement provides us a new direction that will show the Iraqis that our committment is not endless. it sets us on a path with the best chance of achieving success in Iraq," said Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., who led the meeting in place of Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., who was under the weather and unable to attend.

The terrorists knew exactly why they cheered for the Rats to win in November, and if the dumbass liberals think when the terrorist come back to attack us again they will ask everyone if they are democrat or replublican, they are gravely mistaken

Those stinking RATS are doing some things that not even Bin Laden could accomplish:
Demoralize the troops and cut off funding for the War on Terror; with impunity.

Reid spoke of the Democrats plan to attack Al Qeda in Iraq from bases in Kuwait and Jordan,
it is not going to work, and Reid convinced me of that.
Stay the Surge!

Sadly I was wrong yesterday when I hoped that these traitors will wake up for a moment and do not put a binding surrender date in the bill. Traitors are always traitors.

What you seem to forget is that not only are the Dems that stupid ..but they will give up the gang for the cause. They do not give a personal care about what happens to this country. They never have.. it’s all about POWER and who owns it.
Without POWER the Dems have no identity.. they become what they truly are..a bunch of Dysfunctional Loozas who can “chat” for days and never say anything.
Don’t give them the power, call them on it every chance you get, point it out to your friends/ officemates/ family in a “non-confrontational way”.
“Did you understand that?” What do you think that person actually said?
I can personally guarantee that you will leave most jaws hanging.
They haven’t a clue.

We have 150,000 brave heroes with hundreds of thousands of Iraqi forces working so very hard each second to defeat Al Qaeda in Iraq and we still need go time to destroy the terrorists. Harry the Traitor wants us to withdraw from the front line, reduce our troops by 90% and expect us to destroy Al Qaeda who would have controlled all of Iraq once we withdraw from the battlefield. Treason and utter stupidity, the worst combination ever.

The AP and even FOX is all breathless over this story while focusing on the wrong aspects. Big Deal! A presidential veto is not “a showdown”. It’s part of our constitutional government. It’s not a story - or at least it shouldn't’ be treated like it is the President defying congress and that’s what makes it Big News.
The Big News is the unconstitutional attempt by a very tiny slime margin of majority who we call democrats trying to undermined and take over the executive branch. The nation should be up in arms over this. Pitchforks and torches should be marching towards the Capitol.
Joe Lieberman could put a stop to this nonsense tomorrow if he would act on his convictions. Lieberman could switch parties. The godless anti-Americans controlling the senate would be stopped dead cold. The House would be reduced to a meaningless mass of playacting political dogs who can bark all day and not do anything but make powerless noise.

Ah, Sir:
We were discussing what would happen AFTER the veto. I believe you still have a very good chance of winning the competition.
I’m pulling for you.
