He may have been a drunk, but a wise man once said: “better to have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.”

It is amazing how, after so many years, Clinton still remains a despicable classless character.

"We had an exchange student in 1998 from Kyrgistan. He said the same thing about the markets."A western-style supermarket opened in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan in the early 2000s. I visited it in mid-2004, and they were celebrating an anniversary for the store. I don't recall which one, but I think it was about two-years old.

Does anyone remember the flap of Yeltsin when childishly flipped some woman’s bra? Yeltsin was indeed a renegade in the world of PC.

I thought he already was.

"...and kept the communists and the mafia out of power. "
First of all, the communists are mafia, [and mafia is /sociologically/ communistic], thus the contraposition is not justified. Secondly, he had his own mafiosos aplenty.

And Putin isn’t quite the monster he’s made out to be on here. I’m disappointed with him, but man could it ever be worse. He’s essentially friendly with the West and with the U.S. Whether he acts against the U.S. on various issues should not supercede the fact that he is among the best Russian leader the West could expect. Maybe the next one will be even better. Let’s hope.

“And Putin isnt quite the monster hes made out to be on here” - Putin is a kegebun, which is worse than any monster. The only treatment for such is an ash wooden stake through the body.

Nahh...not that bad, dude. He could be a full-fledged communist and hater of the West. He won his election against at least 2 such rival candidates.

All of them are worth one another, and none of them is worth a sh*t; and those who are a tad better have the chances of snowflake in hell.
