Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement

Giuliani as the GOP presidential nominee would be a dagger in the heart of the conservative movement (and a knife in the back).

The only difference in a Liberal Rudy Giuliani and Liberal Hillary Clinton is the fact of which bathrooms they select to use and there are some who are willing to even question that.

Look what Clinton did to the presidency. Suddenly children all over the country are performing unspeakable acts in public “because it isn’t really sex”.

I dread having to explain why our country’s leader is an immoral, perverted laughing stock to my children.

You know, I’d never quite figured out how the supporters of Mayor Giuliani managed to find so much time to blog in support of him. I mean, don’t they have jobs?

Then it occurred to me. Perhaps they’re *doing* their jobs. Wasn’t there a paid blogger for Sen. Edwards who got into some hot water back a few months back?

(Pardon me while I adjust my tinfoil hat)

“I wish he would just say right up front how he feels about Rudy, instead of being so vague.”

Uhhh. Actions speak louder than words. Have you been noticing the zots?

“But I do hope the zottees come back when they realize that conservatism wins.”

I don’t think so. I suspect some are simply paid bloggers.

I'm not a democrat and don't worry about getting zotted.

Click my screen name and then click "in forum", scroll through my 14,695 replies and 2,422 posted threads and see if I was being serious about saying "I wish he wouldn't be so vague".

“I am not here to advocate for Giuliani, I am here to advocate unity behind whoever is the Republican nominee, something I never thought would be controversial at this forum.”

Depends on who you’re debating. Myself for example. I care a great deal about traditional conservatism. As for the GOP, well, let’s just say that I’m not a part of the cheerleading squad.

“And you can bet that Rudy will blame “the far right” when he announces his withdrawal from the race.”

And for once, just once, that statement coming from the mouth of a socialist politician will be correct.

I didn’t catch the sarcasm. My apologies.

I don’t worry about being zotted, either, in spite of being a Democrat.

If Mr. Robinson or the mods wanted me to ride the lightning, I have no doubt that it would have happened thousands of posts ago. To their credit, they’re sincere about this being a conservative website.

Ooh! Charts! And quotes! (nevermind that some are over a decade old)...

The only problem with these anti-Rudy hit-threads is... what are you going to say and do if/when he’s the nominee? Stay home and let Her Highness take control?

If somehow a complete loss is more noble to you than a partial loss, well - I hope you can live with it when the unthinkable happens and we have to relive the horror of the Clinton years all over again.

And you shouldn’t. Afterall, mom knows best. :-)

I’ll take Zell over Rudy any day of the week, Sundays included.

Hi Jim, I haven’t really read the blood & guts of these threads because I truly detest heated controversy(yup, am a wuss)... but I was wondering if Rudy would just withdraw & run as an independent.

I think that would be a really interesting mix as he would no doubt draw considerable numbers from each side.

As I said, I haven’t followed the threads & this point may have been shared/debated already

Howdy!

Or better yet, he could run as a Democrat. Then we could get rid of him and Hillary/Osama-Obama all in one fell swoop.

Problem is that Rudy may be the most electable Republican out there. If conservatives always play the “take my ball home with me” game, and stay away from the voting booth if any candidate isn’t just perfect, they lose their power. No matter how vocal they are, if conservatives stay home they lose their place at the table. If the rest of the Republicans who will vote for a pink elephant before they vote for a Democrat believe that the poll numbers favor this man, he will be the nominee. The rest of the party has no choice if the real conservatives don’t make a total commitment and work their hearts out.

Another cowardly capitulation. We'll see as time takes its toll.

Good Pledge

I will do whatever I can to campaign for a conservative in the primary season, with every fiber of my conservative being.

I will add

I will never support a Liberal of either party.

I've said it before. Hillary Clinton is one of the weakest Democrat candidates to come along in recent memory. Why would we increase her chances of success by nominating an equally-weak candidate like Giuliani?

Now is the time to elect a true conservative.
