I was living in Texas at the time, so my support for (then) Governor Bush was irrelevant. I actually ended up voting for Pat Buchanan to protest Mr. Bush's support for the assault weapons ban. That vote was kinda funny because I later attended rallies supporting him over the mess in Florida. In 2004, I had moved to Louisiana, and my biggest concern with voting for President Bush was that no one who received my vote seemed to have won in a long time. Officially, I was not a volunteer for his campaign, but I was heavily involved with a Republican U.S. Senate campaign and ended up doing all of the GOP volunteer activities.
In any case, I still have hopes that we'll reach a point where many people will return to FR but be a little less high-handed in how they deal with criticism of their candidates. The arrogant "He'll be the nominee and if you don't vote for him you're voting for Hillary" nonsense may be gone in favor of more reasoned discussions of the issues and candidates.

Where do you live in Louisiana? I’m in Lafayette.
