Well, I certainly pray that the Republican voters are smart enough to see through Rudys game.Their judgment is excellent. I trust it. Do you?

It’s so amusing being defined by internet people who don’t have a clue.

Old Poppy seems quite fond of Bill Clinton, what should I take that to mean?
Poppy wants to live?

I think it’s been established that you’re not a real Texan; must be a Kennebunkport transplant.

“Youve said that one cant be fiscally conservative and socially liberal without being a full blown liberal which I dont agree with”
Peach, you don’t know JACK about fiscal conservatism...
New York leads the nation in taxes and fees. Each of them pays an average of $6300 annually in taxes and fees to live, work and have fun in the Empire State.

Chris Matthews said he would consider voting for him and I knew the fix was in. I am so Rino-ed out. Reading books on the founding fathers and then being asked to support someone who supports turkey basting parenting is..is well just to much for any sane person to take.

"for the first time in modern politics, the GOP runs the risk of allowing a true third party threat to take shape in 2008."
I hear that from someone on this board EVERY election cycle. I think Perot doused the "third party" idea for a long, long while.
The third party gang gave us bill clinton, and this country has been on a downhill slide straight to hell since then...and now HIS WIFE IS RUNNING? Certainly Americans won't be stupid enough to allow her to be elected President. If so, let's put our heads between our legs and kiss our collective asses "goodbye".
If she gets in, somebody hasn't been paying attention. I know, the "sheep" among us will go along with the hollywood left, and do what's "in" at the time.
I personally can do without Rudy as President. Sure, he had high visibility on 9/11, but did he actually do anything any other mayor of a city that large (and visible) would not have done? What was he going to do, sit home and whittle whimseys?
If Sean Hannity has anything to do with it Rudy will be elected - and I have always liked Sean, listen to him everyday - but he is ultra-HIGH on Rudy...talks about him incessantly.
It's going to be uphill, whomever runs. The last 3 elections were pretty close, and now with the whack job the libs and the press have put on Bush, it's going to be even closer.
Go Fred...

I’ll ask again — what has Rudy done for National Security? What are his qualifications? What is his foreign policy experience? What are his military qualifications? What has Giuliani done to institute better national security? What did he do in new york to stop the terrorist threat? What legislation has he pushed since then?
He’s your candidate, what are his qualifications on national security?

I would rather be armed and avoid either one.

I suspect that it’s naive to think that the puppet masters will allow a true conservative to end up a serious contender.
But I pray I’m wrong and will try and do what I can to make it otherwise.
thanks for your kind comments.

Their judgment is excellent. I trust it. Do you?Speaking to your question for myself, I have never knowingly voted for a pro-abortion, gungrabbing liberal and I'm not about to start now.
If the GOP nominates a pro-abortion gungrabbing liberal like Rudy, they forfeit my vote, and the results are their fault, not mine.
To: Jim Robinson; Coyoteman
‘Cause people like Coyoteman don’t believe in God and want to force their worldview on the rest of us...
To: Just sayin
If they learned their lesson they would not be trying to so hard to alienate the conservative base.....As if they have to try
The so called "conservative base" is in PERPETUAL alienated mode; something offends one of them each and every day and off they go, moralizing and pontificating.
You see, there are alot like me, who didnt sit at home but didnt vote for the those we were told we should because they can win. Some of us actually do vote FOR our values rather than bandwagon style.
And your stupid A$$ put the Democrats in control of the House and Senate.
And here you are BRAGGING about it.
Fool.

LOL. Oh my. Well, keep saying I’m a liar. It seems to make you feel better. But it doesn’t make it so and you thus far haven’t been able to show that I’ve misrepresented your positions.
And as I’ve said, I’m delighted that so far, Rudy’s frontrunner status tells me that most conservatives and Republicans don’t agree with your opinion of him.
It’s so interesting that when Republicans spend a lot of money in Congress, they’re condemned for it, but they’re rarely called liberal. But oh, if someone puts national security ahead of abortion, why they’re just treasonous liberals.

Uh, hon, you do know that Rudy isn’t Mayor anymore don’t you? And that when he took over they had higher taxes than France and he cut taxes 23 times and turned a deficit around into a surplus.
Even Newt has called it one of the greatest urban achievements of the 21st century.
