John Edwards said hes embarrassed about his now famous $400 haircut.
Campaign finance records show that Edwards campaign paid a Beverly Hills stylist $400 for his haircuts. Those pricey snips have undercut Edwards image as a populist crusading for the little guy.
Its a ridiculous amount of money for a haircut, Edwards told reporters after a campaign stop on Adels town square. Im actually embarrassed by it.
This guy had to come to where I was to get a haircut. I knew itd be expensive. I didnt know it would be that expensive. Hopefully Ill have enough sense not to do that again.
Edwards rejected the notion that his haircuts dont jibe with his campaign message...

Huh?
He can stop by our house the next time he’s in town. I’ve been cutting hair in our kitchen for eons, and it doesn’t cost more than listening to me say, “sit still” or the occasional rap on the side of the head with the shears. I’m giving him a pass from any wise cracks because of Elizabeth (after all, she has to put up with him). That’s penance enough.

Edwards could have used some extra carbon credits ?

>Id like to know, just for giggles, if he paints his toenails.
Ask Kerry LOL
John Edwards.
America's first female president.
We need to keep bringing that one up. If he is embarrassed about these haircuts, he will be REALLY embarrassed when it comes out that he was also billed for services from the PINK SAPPHIRE SALON!
He’s embarrassed? What else can the Bill Clinton wannabe say?
Nope, differnent Stylist to the Elite. Clinton’s guy is Christophe.
Hey, the money’s not coming out of his pocket. (That’s the explanation I rec’d from one politician when I questioned an outrageous expense like Edwards’.)
And politicians wonder why people don’t want to donate to campaigns.

Indeed!
A decent haircut should never cost more than $200!
What’s that old adage? If you have to ask you can’t afford it?
Well, that about sums it up.
Edwards is another gifter.
He is waiting for us to give him another gift.
What is it with Dems and their expensive haircuts? What did Clinton's cost on AF1?
That's the only reason he was found out - he had to disclose the haircuts on his FEC reports. If he had just whipped out a personal credit or debit card to pay for the cuts, no one would have been the wiser. This guy's made countless millions of dollars chasing ambulances, and he's too friggin' cheap to pay for his own haircuts! Not only that, he's so stupid and out of touch that he had no clue how bad paying 800 bucks for haircuts would look.
He probably figured the media would bury it and make it go away. And they probably would have, except that some low-level researcher at Hillary's campaign probably dug it up looking over his FEC filings for just this kind of embarrassing info, sent it up the chain, and Hillary's high command gave it to them with orders to put it on the front page.
I am embarrassed that we have people in this country that not only vote for Edwards/dem but also thinks he/they are genuine.
I'm sure Dick Morris will be the first to know.
We do not need anymore elites spending our tax dollars either.
They will waste it too.
Of course he can do this, but the little people he claims to be the champion of don’t have control of millions in money for which there are no tax consequences for the people who spend it. Campaign contributions are not tax exempt to the giver, so the giver has already paid all the taxes.
The hypocrisy makes me sick.
I heard that was Edwards’s SECOND $400 haircut.
It would seem he is embarrassed because #2 made the news.
Of course, that could be because he initially paid for the haircut out of campaign funds.
[Were campaign funds used to pay for haircut #1?]
