I don’t think NASA has its own SWAT teams. NASA security is gate guards and bicycle cops (who look like marines BTW). SWAT teams are probably feds.
I think you're probably right. Hopefully security is fairly tight there and the problem will be cleaned up without further incident.
I'm trying to find out if anybody was actually shot. Can't seem to glean that detail anywhere, perhaps it's still uncertain.
Suspect that most people there know the gunman isn’t going to last long, or don’t know anything about what is going on.

True, but there a TON of folks in NASA who consider it a major emergency if their shoestring breaks. The vast majority of folks here would be as helpless as 3rd graders.
Lisa Novak couldn't have perpetrated any crime, she has an ankle braclet on that determines her whereabouts. Plus, I think the Johnson Space Center is a gun-free zone!

Here at MSFC, we have Federal Cops who have arrest powers and everything. With the huge Army presence we have here on Redstone, I kinda figured that might be why we have them.
But, NASA has Tens of Billions of dollars invested in satellites, space stationa and other critical assets. Having a Swat team and federal officers on base wouldn’t suprise me at all.
The intermediate school is out from under the lockdown and the kids can go home at the normal time.

I’m about 300 yards away on the 3rd floor of Bldg. 36. We have no windows so don’t know much more than you guys. We went downstairs to look out a door but all we saw were half a dozen choppers circling. I need to leave but was told we are to shelter in place.
Or so yall want us to believe...What are yall really doing in there? Huh? lol
