My apologies if you heard sarcasm in my voice in my last remark.
It was not aimed at you, in any way.
I think I’ve had enough of this. Its like watching someone eat themselves to death.

* thinking out loud*
Do the Dem's understand " be careful what you wish for"?
These BS "hearings" , that the Dem's are so fond of, will affect (may it never happen), a Dem Administration.

I'm torn on this. Gonzales is obviously a boob, and I don't like having an obvious boob in the AG spot, even setting aside this justice department's highly questionable border prosecutions. By the same token, these firings should be a non-issuethough the aforementioned boobness has made them and issueand I'm loathe to see the democrats handed a victory on it.
I have the same mixed feelings on this.
I hate to give the Dims a single win, but Fredo is at best incompetent and at worst derelict in his duty, and he single-handedly turned this non-event into a genuine scandal by pretending that he had nothing to do with the firings (thereby making them seem shameful or improper).
Every day, I am thankful that we stopped W from trying to elevate him to a permanent SCOTUS spot.

Even though I watch these guys all the time, their arrogance never ceases to amaze me. The fact that they wake up every morning proves that God is merciful.

Cornyn brings up Ramos and Campion.
AG defends Sutton. Says a jury found them guilty. Cornyn wants a hearing on this. AG says he’ll consider the request.

Calls it a mass firing. Like what Clinton and Reno did when they fired ALL the U.S. Attorneys? Where's the outrage on that?

DANG...Gonzo MISSED his best chance, when Leahy was going through all of the previous Presidents..and how they replaced all of the US Attorneys, Gonzo should have said that
YES they did ..and they didn’t have to go on trial like I am!!!

Cornyn remarked about how the reputations of the Attorneys can be tarnished by even bringing their names into this.
Well...I would say that Gonzo’s reputation is at stake over a procecure that Leahy just said, EVERY single POTUS has done without a thought to whether that US Attorney was good or bad...and didn’t worry about their reputations, in doing it that way.

Gonzales is pathetic. Sorry to hear that. I haven't been watching it but I have to admit it's what I expected.
Nobody has the fortitude to stand up to these congressional insurgents...and the few that do get dispatched with a vengance.

Senator Feingold is basically asking why a particular nickel managed to get in a roll of nickels when a bag of coins was run through a sorting machine. Gonzales is clearly saying that the "process" was designed to weed out these people and that there was not necessarily one good reason for their firing.
Why is this so hard to understand?
