Virginia Killer's Violent Writings Play told of pedophilic stepfather, murder of 13-year-old boy
APRIL 17--The college student responsible for yesterday's Virginia Tech slaughter was referred last year to counseling after professors became concerned about the violent nature of his writings, as evidenced in a one-act play obtained by The Smoking Gun. The play by Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old English major, was submitted last year as part of a short story writing class. Entitled "Richard McBeef," Cho's bizarre play features a 13-year-old boy who accuses his stepfather of pedophilia and murdering his father.

If that’s a legit note from a fellow in Cho’s playwriting class, he must be feeling pretty awful that he and others did not recognize exactly how far Cho would go. They almost did, but...
Welcome to the harsh reality of latter day America.
Never mind his plays, what about the so-called letter, why is it being suppressed?
Just damn .... I’ve seen some commentary here that because this dude didn’t say much he was a nerd. I’m not so sure. What he reminds me of is of a quasi criminal element, into Asian gangs, who are veterans of at least petty, sometimes major crime, by the time they are adults. He was from a lower middle class background. Yeah sure, he looked clean cut down at school. But there is an inner criminal there. Chilling thought - previous murders? rapes? etc?
I didn’t read the play.
Am waiting for the movie to be released at Sundance.
Suppressed? How about it being a piece of material evidence in an ongoing crime investigation?
I'm sure it will be made available for the drooling mob to gawk over as soon as possible.
Well, I was born on April 20th, as was a certain failed Austrian artist who made this kid look like Skippy the Kangaroo.
Ditto!
I read worse stuff on DU and don’t even to to what’s on TV.
Wonder what other kind of plays came out of other VT English Majors. I would guess probably drama just as bad or worse. Being a Senior at VT, I assume the lad got passing grades on his “works”
