the point is - the states passed their own laws on this subject they have now. its their laws, and still most have school restrictions. you know full well that the application of the 2A as applied to the states for CCW, has never been tested in federal court. and now you are asking for blanket application to include schools.

I do believe that the level of sniping on this thread has reached an all-time low for Free Republic. A simple comment expressing somebody’s grief at a tragic event gets turned into this.
I don’t know about the Rudy haters but these statements make me proud to be a Republican. When I see them coming together like this. Too bad it takes a tragedy like this to do it.

All of the POTUS candidates will make appropriate statements. It’s to be expected.
Yes it is and I have posted a few of them too. I feel like we need to know that all the candidates care about this tragedy regardless.
Why is this even considered a Rudy thread? If he had an ounce of decency, he would at least wait until the shock is over, then send a private message, rather than making a public statement for political gain.
But this is what we would expect from Rudy.
Any politician, no matter what party, who tries to get political exposure, no matter how slight, from this tragedy is not worthy of the office he may be seeking.
Obama said he was upset and saddened too. I wait this one out. They are all panderers on this one.
After all, what are they supposed to say?
