JoinRudy2008 ^ | 4/16/07

"On this day of national tragedy, when we lost some of our finest to a senseless act, we stand together as a country to mourn those who lost their lives.

"My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the survivors and the many friends, colleagues and family members of those who perished. May God bless them all."

-Rudy Giuliani

Very appropriate for such a heart-wrenching event.

Hey, areafiftyone: Take a hint — no one give’s a rat’s tail about what the candidates think!

I am sure the others will make a statement and I will post that too. I am sorry you have no compassion.

Obviously, I have compassion for the defenseless victims of gun control laws. I have no compassion for the liberals who support or pass those laws, nor those liberals or their useful idiots (like you) who support them.

Are you going to reverence Hillary and Obama's pandering statements about they massacre when they make them just as you're providing such unfounded reverence to what liberal, gun-grabbing Giuliani spouted today? On this conservative forum? If someone posted on this conservative forum what gun control advocates Hillary and Obama had to say about this massacre those threads would rightfully be full of mocking and attacks towards them. Giuliani, being an identical liberal gun grabber, deserves no less.

They are all issuing statements. It’s par for the course. It’s politics. The Anti-Rudy bots will jump on anything. Sad.

Frankly any candidates statement on the matter will be worth less than spit. It’s nothing more than a excuse to pander.

Now if one of them would actually have the guts to come out and say something substantive, then I’d consider it postworthy. I won’t hold my breath.

C'mon, don't put words in Rudy's mouth.

He made no political statement here.

I notice Rudy says he offers his prayers...I wonder how may aborted babies he has offered prayers for? Talk about being an opportunist!

which states have “guns allowed” schools?

The smart ones. I believe Utah is one of them. Do you not understand the meaning of "shall not be infringed". You and Rudy both can't seem to comprehend the meaning of those 4 words.

I just posted McCain and I am only waiting for the other Republican candidates who care about this too like Duncan Hunter and Romney. Plain and simple. You can make a bigger issue out of this if you like I can’t stop you.

Only the fringe Freepers could take something said in sincerity and use it as a Rudy-bashing excuse. This is about the students who were killed-not whatever petty agenda some folks might have. Can’t they put aside their venom just this once? Prayers for all involved.

Most Universities ARE gun free zones. Gun prohibition will never stop Criminals from getting them and bringing them onto any campus, or anywhere else for that matter. Executions for violent criminals makes more sense, Period!
