Police confirm the doors in Norris where chained
How long do ballistics tests take...won’t they eventually be able to connect the two through ballistics...or have I been watching too much CSI, LOL?
I am, but working away from the computer.
I was on the internet in the wee hours looking
at other stuff.
All pings welcome.
Getting ready for a BBQ with the computer on.
I would appreciate any updates on TM re:
The shooter(s) IDs - confirmed.
The shooting locations - all (on and maybe off campus).
Anything else of interest.
THANKS AS ALWAYS Velveeta.
the first rule of media relations for press conferences - if you can’t answer any of the obvious questions, DON’T HAVE THE PRESS CONFERENCE.
They said they would not release the victims name until tomorrow, for first of kin to all be notified.
I just got in from school, and turned on Fox. I was stunned at what they were talking about.
For all they know, this was an AQ act. They have to gather evidence. Their procedures demand it.
Police Officer: I dont know I consider it all one big murder scene.
1,981 rumors at last count.
Well, I was simply reporting what the people at the press conference said. Go complain to them!
Do you really believe this is punishment for the people of Virgina because of the way some of them voted???
WHAT NONSENSE!!!!
PRayers up for all the families involved.
How very sad.
Whatever chief.
"As I said, spare me the crapola about discrimination and comparing it to racism."
You don't get spared, because you deliberately characterized all college students as irresponsible and not trustworthy enough to possess, or exercise CCW for defensive purposes. You claim to know it all and support those claims with arbitrary anecdotal evidence.
"Its total BS, because EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO REACHED 18 - has been in that group!!! Give me a break, BLACKS??? Get off it. What an absolutely absurd, stupid comparison."
The comparison is right on target. Blacks were demonized as irresponsible, just as you're demonizing college students as being too irresponsible to own weapons. That was the justification for passing laws against them and it's the same justification you're spewing now. It's just as bogus now as it was then. It is however the same emotionally motivated bigotry applied to a group, to deny them their rights.
"Ive experienced being in college and those were my impressions, as well as that its even worse now. Too bad."
Irrational bigotry, nothing less.
"Hows your opinion on Moslems? Are you 1 of the very few here so good as to never malign them"
Isalm defines itself, and any conclusions I've made regarding islam is based on the facts of the beliefs held by the group. Note that islam is not defined by skin color, age, national origin, grade, ect... It is defined by the beliefs held. Also, the word malign would never apply, because good and evil are defined by an absolute moral code. HTe word malign applies to calling somehting evil, when it is not in reality.
"Go crawl back in a hole, please. "
You who call for denying the rights of a large group of your fellow Americans, because of your own bigoted opinions ought to be the own crawling into your hole. I'm certainly not going to.
"At least learn to have a reasonable discussion rather than firing off half-cocked."
Yeah, whatever. I don't see bigoted claims and anecdotal justifications as reasonable.
This guy doesn’t know anything!
The reporters are wasting their time.
Your 541. Cops saying “no arrests.” I saw the guy on all fours in custody. Is he now non-existent?
Yes, but these are things like "time, place, and manner" restrictions, because if I walk around with a bullhorn at 2:30 in the morning, I might bother people. In such a situation, the very act of speech itself is harmful to those around me, so we have some--very few--regulations.
Not true with carrying a weapon. Unlike speech, the very act of carrying a weapon--in and of itself--is harmless to those around me, and, as such, should not be subject to restriction.
If you want to pass laws that give severe penalties to those who use a weapon in the commission of a crime, fine. But don't restrict my right to carry a weapon, which, by itself, is completely harmless.
Sadly, Libs think that a law banning guns would mean that guns would cease to exist.
