OK, now the "no prints on file" thing is really curious. If he is a student, don't they give prints on their ID's? No birth certificate on file anywhere with prints? If he is NOT an American citizen, wouldn't his prints have been on file through immigration?
Very weird.

It’s clear we won’t get the straight truth about this until Michael Moore does a documentary on it.

The first shooting may have very well been a ‘decoy’ or ‘covery story’ to make sure all LE was on the other side of campus so there would be no interference.

Sure seems to be some puzzle pieces that don’t quite fit.
Will be interesting to see what’s revealed . . .
and what’s concealed.

Not necessarily true. In my college, the auditoriums in the science building all had entrances at the front, and you walked up towards the seats in the back.

Thanks for the information. I, too, saw that Asian guy being taken into custody and it made me wonder.

My first impression always white male, just because that’s the common thing in this country...when it comes to that sort of killing. Of coarse I could be wrong.
Funny, I’m a white male, and I have no problem saying that. I wonder what a muslim person would say about a person exploding themselve in a cafe...would they say probably one of us?
Anyways we’ll see. Sad day for the parents...I can’t imagine going to that school now.

I’m about as pro-gun and pro-original Constitution as you can get.
But common sense has to come into play. Drunkenness in itself is a “celebrated” pasttime in this country the last 40 years or so, especially for teenagers. So many now think it’s perfectly OK to drink your liver cancerous; that it’s “fun”. I call them drunks.
All the so-called “partying” tendencies of FAR too many collegiates is enough to make me 2nd-think about letting them carry willy-nilly on campus (a campus of huge % of like teenagers, not well-balanced by elder). My concern would be that that alone would lead to more deaths over a year - certainly more injuries - than these *rare* “mass murderer” events. Even as “idiot shootings” because they were drunk and holding a loaded gun.

Super Tornado Outbreak (April 3-4, 1974)How does one "start" a tornado? Karl Rove?
If it was him, I'd like to give him a piece of my mind. I was a frightened 9 year old that spent most of that night in a damp cellar. :)

"think about all the Jihadis around the world who are cheering and praying for the death toll to go higher . . . as well as calculating as much as they can how to increase such when they launch their . . . campus visits."I have thought of it, and NOW so have they.

Now, we commonly have RIOTS where people get killed and peoples property and livelihoods are ruined because these spoiled brats are upset their team lost.
That is NOT a good reason to disarm students. Heck that is a reason why then need protection.
To: Miss Marple
No, you do not get fingerprinted when getting a college ID.
To: redgolum
How could they lift the lock down if they didn’t have the shooter? It doesn’t make any sense.

I can’t say I blame VT, but in a post 9/11 world they really ought to have better security and maybe even have drills with the students for this type of thing. I have a kid up at PSU and I do worry about this very scenario happening at universities, particularly where a significant percentage of the students are foreign. My initial gut feeling tells me this is a hate attack.

Bat Jack was just on Fox News blaming all of this on video games, again. Our 17 yr old son ( a HUGH World of Warcraft fan) just started howling laughing when he heard that.

Hence the 'instant jihad' explanations proffered earlier on this thread.
I doubt we will learn anything in this upcoming news conference.
