Yes, it worked just as could be expected. The bad guy was enabled and the cops showed up to count the bodies and assess the damage.
Looks like it. They've got a belt around his upper thigh as a tourniquet, too.
FBI investigating but have no proof it's a terrorist attack.
WSLS: 28 being treated...minimum of 4 in critical condition.
The discrepany of the two different shooting and what the admin did at VAtech needs to be investigated and looked into big time. How this man was able to kill that many people and wound so many other’s is beyond me!
Parents are going to demand answers for years to come over this tragedy!
Map at post # 147 may help
When I was in high school in Northern California in the early 1960s, probably 40% of students drove pick-up trucks (or Rancheros or El Caminos) at least part of the time, probably 75% of those had gun racks, and most of gun racks had a couple of guns in them — most common combination was a 30-30 (often a Winchester M1894) and either a 12 or 16 gauge pump shotgun. Various varmit rifles were commonplace - I don’t think I knew more than a handful of kids who didn’t at least plink with a .22.
I have heard 3 people were handcuffed & taken from Norris and all released, have also seen possibly 1or 2 others
These were 2 separate shoots about 3 hours apart. The first about 7:00AM & second about 10:00AM. The LEO were ON CAMPUS responding to the first when the 2nd shooting started. Something very strange is going down.
I was thinking the same thing.
1.) Im not an advocate of gun-control
2.) I dont think the solution to this problem is to allow students to take guns into classrooms.
You do understand that those are mutually exclusive thoughts, right?
Now this is all third hand, so take it for what its worth.
I agree especially if he killed himself. If he was killed by law enforcement I would open the door to a terrorist attack.
I believe he is going to Temple University, IIRC.
Bump, well said, our best defense and safety from events like this is good guys/gals with guns. Period, end of story, without good guys/gals with guns you're dead and the bad guys wins.
THey're not mutually exclusive. No telling what would set off a "going in a blaze of glory" nutjob.
That is especially true since, according to a student who lived in the dormitory where the first shooting took place, that by the time he was going to class (around 9am) the place was crawling with police.
How did a shooter evade police for more than an hour?
While we do not know Motive or Religion of the Shooter we do know that this was an act of Terrorism.
Ditto. I think having students carry guns into classrooms would be a really bad idea.
Fox News reporting that the shooter(s) used two 9mm handguns.
They are not nessarily exclusive. What are the age that should be the minimum for legally owning a firearm? Why that age?
I don’t think gun owners should be able to carry a gun on a plane. That doesn’t mean I am an advocate of gun control.
