You are correct in implying that Joseph Farah is an unreliable source, and he has once again cited something made up. He is basing his claim on twisting of some info cited by Rep Steve King (R-IA), which was in itself misrepresented.

Although there is a huge amount of crime committed in the US by illegal aliens (i.e., criminal invaders), I hate it when exaggeration is used to make the point. See, for example, this explanation of how the 12 per day" number (and 28 percent of inmates also incorrectly cited) came about.

Thank you for the reference. I read it with great interest. The debunking of the figure is interesting. It cites very low figures for state inmates who are illegal aliens. Keep in mind, those figures are skewed downward by the avowed policy of many jurisdictions not to inquire about the citizenship of arrestees.

Bottom line: Because the right questions are not being asked, and the essential information is being hidden, we can't know how many Americans are losing their lives every day, at the hands of illegal aliens. But if Rep. King's extrapolation is 300% too high, the deaths are still more than the daily toll in the Iraq and related wars.

The real information, though not specific, is helpful. Thank you.
