With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Corzine had 53 percent to Forrester's 44 percent.

Still waiting on those other 3% of the precincts???

hard to tell .. PA’s roads are pretty nasty

Local news is reporting he’s still in surgery

http://www.nbc10.com/news/11748272/detail.html?dl=mainclick
(snip)
Officials said the governor was in surgery for the leg fracture, and his other broken bones included six ribs, his sternum and collarbone. He also sustained a cut on his head but no severe head injuries.

“Mark Levin reported that New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine was on his way to a meeting with the Rutgers women’s basketball team and Don Imus at his Princeton,...”

Hillary was there, also...

You know we almost need a special thread here just to keep track of the murders and drunk driving deaths they do on a daily basis..if we all reported in from our areas maybe then some people will start to believe the numbers...

I thought about it but wasn't sure how well it would be received.

Even here we have people defending them or whining that we are singling them out.

I send each article I come across to my congress critters. Who knows if they actually read them. If the rising crescendo gets much louder I think they will.

Hmm. Wonder if MADD has taken a position on this? Probably not.

You are correct in implying that Joseph Farah is an unreliable source, and he has once again cited something made up. He is basing his claim on twisting of some info cited by Rep Steve King (R-IA), which was in itself misrepresented.

Although there is a huge amount of crime committed in the US by illegal aliens (i.e., criminal invaders), I hate it when exaggeration is used to make the point. See, for example, this explanation of how the 12 per day" number (and 28 percent of inmates also incorrectly cited) came about.

"Wonder if he was wearing his seat belt?"

He was reportedly in the passenger seat and not wearing his seat belt according to news reports.

Remember, the laws (including the Laws of Physics) just apply to the "little people"!

Why were all those people there??

I thought this was a private meeting with the team

According to this website, back seat adult seatbelt use was mandatory in 19 states as of 1/07: Alaska, California, Delaware, D.C., Idaho, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

But NOT New Jersey.

Amazing how in an accident there is no one more important than any another person in the vehicle.... I guess having a God Complex makes some people feel untouchable.. perhaps Corzine will have some time to do some self-examination when he realizes how lucky he is to be alive.

From the sound of it...Anderson Cooper reporting...there was a large houseful....except for Corzine, of course.

I didn’t hear him mention that Hillary was there..he had someone inside, relaying information to him.

Imus’ wife was there.

Hillary is giving a speech there on Monday..but, don’t know about tonight.

Amazing.... guess they don’t realize the backseat can sometimes be a bigger projectile than people in the front seat... we are getting into the season here where they will be specifially ticketing people not buckled up... normally have a big push over Memorial Day Weekend.

Looking at the pics of the SUV....how did he get injured so badly? It doesn’t look like it rolled.

I don’t think Hillary! was at the Princeton meeting. The late local news here would have shown her arriving on TV like Imus and the Rutgers basketball players. The governor was supposed to be there in part because he was hosting the meeting at his mansion.

“Is it true that NJ has some of the most congested and worse highways in the country?”

My opinion? No way!

I grew up in PA, have traveled a variety of roads there, and hit potholes very frequently. I white-knuckle it on the PA turnpike. However, I’ve lived in NJ for 29 years, and I have to admit, our roads are good. Can’t complain.
