There was an interesting blurb on the news tonight. Apparently CBS' stock declined considerably AFTER the announcement of Imus' firing was made.
I'm wondering if these folks have bitten off more than they can chew. I never call or write companies to complain about their advertising practices, but I will be on the phone all morning tomorrow giving these advertisers and a bunch of CBS radio affiliates a piece of my mind.

If theyre cleaning the airwaves, let the vulgar songs go too. Double standard o.k. for Blacks to use the words in songs, but a white person cant say them.If they try to quell the lyrics, next year's Grammy for #1 CD will be titled, "ONE NAPPY HO"!

They’re so liberal & if you have watched any of their other programming, so inept I doubt that will happen. They will just fill the slot with the liberal slant of why everything is Bush’s fault from the war to the economy, campaigning for their lib candidates and now appeasing Sharpton & Co. They can’t handle the other 21 hours of programming. I can’t imagine what they could do with another 3 hours to fill.

Interact, negotiate, debate libs all you want. Don't let me discourage you. Despite the fact I've pointed out four times that the libs are already going after our guys you keep insisting that: now the left is going to use Imus as a precedent to target the right's pols and pundits. Whatever prevents you from acknowledging what I'm saying must also be what blinds you to the reality of it as it happens every day. I really don't like your way of thinking. I know you'll deny it but it is the same as those who said if we invade Iraq then the Arabs will hate us and bring terror to our shores. THEY ALREADY ARE! Bye.

I havent seen ONE black on TV supporting Imus right to free speech.Has the MSM tried to get an opinion from Bill Cosby? It would be interesting to hear his take.

CNN reported that the team is still inside the Gov. mansion debating whether or not to accept Imus’s apology.
All I can say is WTF??
What a pathetic excuse for women. One even said she might be scarred for life. What a ho.

Interact, negotiate, debate libs all you want. Don't let me discourage you.I never suggested that. You made that up out of whole cloth.
Despite the fact I've pointed out four times that the libs are already going after our guys you keep insisting that: now the left is going to use Imus as a precedent to target the right's pols and pundits.
That's right because it is a step, as dozens of other FReepers have also said, that makes it easier to get to those other targets. That's reality.
Whatever prevents you from acknowledging what I'm saying must also be what blinds you to the reality of it as it happens every day.
What prevents me from acknowledging your point is common sense. People don't lose their jobs every day to the PC Police. This is something unusual which explains all the attention it's getting. If you have examples to back up your claim that it happens every day by all means post them and I'll be glad to recant.
I really don't like your way of thinking. I know you'll deny it but it is the same as those who said if we invade Iraq then the Arabs will hate us and bring terror to our shores.
Bwahahahaha! Accusation by inference. Who likes to use that tactic?
Adios!
