Nifong Issues Apology to Ex-Lacrosse Players

Durham — The local prosecutor who charged three Duke lacrosse players with raping a stripper apologized Thursday, acknowledging the decision of state prosecutors to dismiss all charges against them was correct.
"To the extent that I made judgments that ultimately proved to be incorrect, I apologize to the three students that were wrongly accused," Durham County District Attorney Mike Nifong said in a statement.
Nifong-you are a scum bag.
An APOLOGY!!??!! For his criminal abuse of power an apology is all he can come up with? How about a resignation!

Nifong has some kind of mental problem.
He continued to pursue this long after his reelection was ensured and long after he knew for a fact that they were innocent.
My fear is that he won’t get what he has coming to him.

No, 'Fong, you knew full well they were innocent. Your error in judgment was in thinking that you and your whore would be able to get away with it. ....and now you'll pay.
NiFong should be arrested. that is the only check and balance possible in incidents like this - the grand jury system is already heavily stacked against the accused, and rogue prosecutors like this guy just push the system too far to the edge.
