I understand - you know if people would just give ME the power to decide who can have air time and who can’t, the world would be a wonderful place. ;)
If I did that, everyone here would hurl! lol
That sure is wonderful, the one bright spot of news this week!
I am pro employer, that’s what Conservatives should be.
If Sean wants the “market forces” to govern business I can’t think of what a boycott does better?
This business about his firing is supporting the fairness doctrine is a bunch of hooey. The market and its management has spoken.
But Fuddy look at what happens when other people with power from the Black Community try to step up and show people a different path so to speak.
Jesse Lee Petersen? Bill Cosby? J.C. Watts? Dr. Rice?
Those right there are examples of great people...who just happen to be black...who have TRIED to show others in their community that the way they are going is NOT ok. And that the Black community MUST change direction before it destroys itself.
And look what they get as a response from the Sharpton’s and Jackson’s and the reset of the Libtard elete.
They are criticized in racist terms that sicken my stomach and given a pass because they toe the “party line”.
Waiting for Sharpton to apologize for his complicity in that whole fiasco . . . hear crickets chirping?
Would it be called the 'Grandma Channel Network"?
That'd be a sight for sore eyes. Although, the folks that are so incensed by Rudy dressing in drag, would have something new to carp about.
I do wanna clarify one thing in this before you get the wrong idea about me...in no way shap or form do I agree or condone what Imus said.
It’s just the radio jock and 18 years in and around the biz coming out in me defending free speech.
You’re right, his employer and sponsors had every right to withdraw their support from him, it’s just too bad that they did it based on hypocritical loudmouths.
It would probably be very fiesty and opinionated, but at least I would agree with everything on it. lol
I totally agree...I also find it ironic how the “liberals” are the first to want to shut Imus up. So much for the ACLU—more crickets.
Rush said something funny - the liberal establishment created the Sharptons and Jacksons, gave them the power they have, and now their “creations” are turning on them.
The ACLU has already caused Hell to freeze over once by defending Rush...their Liberal leadership and members will ensure that kind of even won’t happen twice in our lifetime.
It’s like a real life Dr. Frankenstien’s Monster.
Have to run. Hungry laxers due any minute. Thanks for having me. Sofa—watch the hands...Give my love to the Great One
The comments of demagogues like Julian Bond, Al Sharlaton and Jesse "He baby, How YOU doin' Jackson, are calculated and are simpluy ignored by the same people that are currently, so incensed.
Bye Chattie
I believe it was a 5 year contract, but I could be wrong. Regardless, the employer has the right hire and fire employees. If the employer breaks a contract then they are libel for their actions in court. We don't know what kind of ethics policies or codes of conduct were in his contract but it's up to the employer to enforce those policies even if they are hypocritical and uneven in doing so...that's the right of an employer.
I hate like hell the appearance of Jessie Jackass and NotsoSharpton getting a victory here but if you owned your own business wouldn't you want the right to fire an employee for what he may say to YOUR customers? Especially if something said made your customers/"advertisers" leave your business?
Imus referred to some black women ballplayers “nappy headed hoes” and it forces people to ask “what about hip hop.” Nothing will change with respect to hip hop because it makes huge money, but the discussion is already hilarious. There is a guy on Fox explaining that it is different in hip hop because the audience is used to that kind of language.
