A little CYA from the President of Duke University. He knows he's on the hook, along with 88 members of his faculty, in the pending civil suit. Time to make nice. It's a day late and a dollar short, if you ask me.

I hope those families take those bastards to the cleaners. And everyone else who jumped on the bandwagon.

He held the Duke faculty's coat while they destroyed the lives of these three young men.
His continued employment is a disgrace.
No child of mine will attend this institution unless there are some radical changes.

This is about nothing more or less than mitigation of damages.

From the outset, I have been careful to note that these students were entitled to the presumption of innocence and I looked to the legal system to determine the merit of the charges. ROFL

Something tells me that if Reade Seligmann, David Evans and Collin Finnerty get the right lawyers, Duke University will be renamed Seligmann, Evans, and Finnerty College, what with all the money they could be getting for their university unfairly attacking them.

He determined our students to be innocent of the charges and said they were the tragic result of a rush to accuse. Since when did he consider them "our" students? What a hypocrite.

“From the outset, I have been careful to note that these students were entitled to the presumption of innocence...”
which is why you threw them, the coach, and the whole team under the bus. I shudder to think what might have happened if they’d been presumed guilty.

The President of Duke University and his 88 ‘leftist from hell’, should be sued for ‘hate speech’ for ever damn penny they owned.

Let the CYA two-step begin! Where’s the statement from the 88?

Reade Seligmann, David Evans and Collin Finnerty were hung out to dry by Duke U and the Egregious 88.
The three should now take all of them to the cleaners.

This “statement” can be summed up in very few word.
“Oh my Lord, am I in trouble”
