Tucker just read a news flash, announcing that they will no longer simulcast Imus at all, anymore.
She’s absolutely right -— a rule book is needed.
FOTFLOL -— I just noticed your tagline.
Anytime!
:-)
I heard that last night on FNC; Brit Hume read it, I think.
He has a point, although I’m relatively sure the level of violence some of the rappers endorse against whites and police and women in general is not something the networks want to discuss.
McGUIRK: A Spike Lee thing.
IMUS: Yeah.
McGUIRK: The Jigaboos vs. the Wannabes that movie that he had.
Anyone ask the Rev Al if he’s gonna call a boycott of Spike Lee’s movie??
Thanks.
After watching this .. I got the impression there was some kind of behind the scene deal to smooth this all over and Rev Al hung Imus out to dry

I don’t think Imus is going to forget this and that pay back may be coming
He tried .. but it was pouring rain so he rescheduled it for Saturday
Thanks for the explanation, I agree with you. As of this afternoon it seems that Imus is going to have a lot of time on his hands to hone his comedy skills, CBS fired him too.
I don’t know how long you have been a fan, but I have a record album of some of his funniest skits. Years ago he used to do this bit called “1200 hamburgers to go.” It was hilarious. He would call some hamburger place and ask if he could have 1200 hamburgers to go for a National Guard Unit or Boy Scout Rally whatever.. Usually a kid would answer and put on his manager. The manager would say yes he could have the 1200 hamburgers and Imus would say, “Ok, I’ll 4 with mustard and pickles, no ketchup, 8 with mustard, ketchup, onions and no pickles,
6 with cheese, ketchup, no onions, no pickles.” Then he would ask if the guy on the phone if he was “getting all this?” The manager would say, yes he was getting it all and Imus would say, “Good, could read back what you have so far?”
The poor manager would start reading the order back and Imus would say, “No, that was 7 not 8 with mustard, ketchup, no onions and no pickles or wait maybe it was 9. Wait, can you hold on?” Imus would come back on the line and change the whole order, by this point most managers hung up on him. I know I’m not doing it justice, but it was funny. Sorry that he had to become such a jerk and I am also sorry he had to go out on such a low note.
No. See the more complete description in #447 by X-FID

My addition:
He had a n album called 1,200 hamburgers to go. The bit is on there along with the Right Reverand Dr. Billy Sol Hargus. Some really funny shit
Oh wow, I forgot about the Rev. Billy Sol Hargus, really funny. It’s too bad he started to think of himself as this great political mover and shaker and didn’t stick with the really humorous stuff, maybe he would still have a job LOL!
you are contradicting yourself- I said LIBERALS can say anything you want- and you said no they can’t, then you cite examples of Rosie being allowed to say anything against conservatives, including black conservatives.
Imus was just far enough to the right (in that he would criticized liberals too- although he was a flaming liberal) that he could not get away with it anymore- especialy with HilLIARy running for election. Look for her hand in this somewhere.
