How do you feel in being in the same bed with Al Sharpton?

I didn’t “come up with a time-line” — the time-line is there.

The time-line is not “proof” but it is suggestive of a motive force unrelated to the spurious outrage of Sharpton and Jackson.

The meaning of ad hominem has a “correct association” to the “event” of someone attacking a person presenting a thesis instead of that someone attempting what might seem to him a formidable act, addressing the thesis itself.

“You don’t get it.”

Really? I am amused by your presumption.

I heard he took it rather stoically, and said he’d been expecting it.

‘’Both were saying it’s not going to stop here.

Who’s next?’’........I believe the Sharptons and the liberals in general are going to be targeting other radio personalities that are ‘’conservatives’’ like Rush, or Mark Levin, Sean, etc. IMO They want to shut down conservative voices or anyone that doesn’t agree with they’re view points because of the presidential elections coming up!Notice how the left is refusing to have Fox host any of the debates. Its all part of the same mindset of these people!

Do you think it was mainly an NBC decision or was in something GE got involved with? I am guessing MSNBC would not do this on their own.

It was pure NBC. GE keeps their hands off pretty much.

Whatever made you think that? Could it have been Keith Olbermann holding up pictures of Rush, Neil Boortz, Savage, Glenn Beck and others tonight, saying to Jesse Jackson, "What about these guys, shouldn't you go after them, too?"

You exactly right. And then they'll come for us.

This is the stupid post of the day. Neither the Dixie Chicks or Don Imus have a 1st Amendment right to the public airwaves. I wish some of you waving the constitution in our faces would actually READ IT!

The FCC is investigating Imus now.

Your turn.

Oh, you think you were attacked, do you?

Given how so many on FR lately respond in an overly sensitive way to comments that do not warrant such drama, I'm beginning to think that FR may have contracted a case of the shingles.

The voters are getting what they asked for from the 06 elections: facism and censorship.

The horror of it exists only for those who are awake, and those just awakening.

But OTOH, Brer Rabbit politics has worked in the past.

Who was the NY talk show host fired several years ago for similar reasons? He had a very large audience. I think he use to take on Sen. Lautenberg. Our radio talk show hosts have been aware they are being watched, I don’t think they would be as stupid as Imus. In a way this action by PMSNBC is retribution for calling the voters of Tenn racists.

We were at dinner the other night and my husband and I were talking about how sick we were of the victimhood that everyone seems to love playing in this country.

The next table joined in the conversation and agreed. One of them said the Imus situation was the last straw.

A lot of us said this is making race relations worse, not better.

You’re 100% right, Carolyn. I hadn’t realized just how bad this all was until a few years ago when I read the expose on Jesse Jackson called Shakedown.

A Wall Street analyst is quoted in that book as saying there were only two major corporations in the country that hadn’t given Jesse money rather than listen to him whine that they were racist corporations because they weren’t hiring enough blacks. Two in the whole country!

It’s all about $$.
