Nothing like Jesse and Al feeling more empowered. Egads. Since he got canned and has nothing to loose he can tell those two to kiss his white ass.
To: NickatNite2003
If he had apologized by saying that the team members were clean and articulate, he might have saved his contract and been elected to the US Senate. Might even be a guest on the Sunday morning talk shows, as well.

I just emailed Obama’s office to see if he also condemns the same language in Hip Hop music.

I hope the Freepers who put their hatred of Imus above the 1st Amendment, sleep well tonight. It is troublesome to see so few here thinking this thing through to the end.

If I heard the opening of his dumbass show correctly, Olbermann will be going after Limbaugh for some comment he supposedly made about Cynthia McKinney looking like a “ghetto slut”.
To: RetSignman
He said he was not going out being fired, don’t know if he meant TV-loser station on TV anyway.Where are his in power friends. He has a bigger radio audience.Would like to send him a note.I remember when they took Rush off of TV in our area .

Seems as if I’m going to go against the general consensus about Imus being fired. I think he deserved it. I happened to have whatever channel he was on this morning on and I didn’t detect any regret for his out of line comment. Nothing but excuses and I happen to think what he said was inexcusable. I don’t care if he’s a supposed shock jock or who he thinks he is, what he said was a put down to women who are in college and so in no way qualify as ho’s and the nappy crap was a direct racial putdown.
Y’know, I never, ever thought I’d agree with Sharpton and it’s scary that I do but I’m not going to apologize for thinking Imus deserves to be fired and got exactly what he deserved.
Maybe some of these yahoo’s who think he didn’t deserve to be fired might think a little differently if their daughters were on the basketball team and his comment was about “homo ho’s” cos after all, that would only be fair right? Any female who’s involved in a sport like basketball must be a lesbian.

To witness those he gave so much air time to (Craig Crawford now on MSNBC) say they were turned off by some of his and Bernie's comments makes my skin crawl. Might explain one reason his friend Harold Ford Jr. was unreachable.
Did you catch the BS from the President of NBC? He first admitted he was a long time fan of Imus, listening to him almost daily, but later went on to say he had little alternative but to fire him after receiving complaints from NBC employees, who said these comments have been going on for years. If he listened to him almost daily and wasn't offended it's obvious sponsors' complaints and the whining from the race baiting aficionados Sharpton and Jackson, is what prompted it.
