except.... where will Mitchell, Gregory, Russert et al find their forum?????Don't worry, they'll find another place. Imus probably wasn't making much money for MSNBC anyway. He was providing a location for anti-conservative soundbites to be made on a daily basis. That's worth a lot to the left.
To: NickatNite2003
Well he is off to the satilite radio world, which cannot be touched by the PC crowd.

I dont care how it came about, your right to free speech was diminished today. And, those who feel empowered by their victory today, wont stop here.
I think the right to private property was strengthened today, with the owner of a business being allowed to control the employment status of an employee who says something the employer disagrees with.

Hey Katie Couric could get her old time slut back?

No, I missed it, but I’ve heard replays. It was stupid innocent idle chatter. This is a PC lynching.

And all for calling Jim Tressel "Cheatypants McSweatervest".
That'll learn ya.

Where will Gregory go now for face time in the morning? Fineman? Matthews? Kerry? The other liberal journalists at CBS and NBC?
All this groveling and apologizing got him nothing. LMAO. Once the liberals smell blood and fear they attack even more. Apologizing and begging forgiveness only encourages them. He could have just said it was a joke and eventually everyone would have moved on - but nope, he was a dope.
At least in this case it was liberals eating another liberal. And yes, I view him as such. After the things he said about Rumsfeld and Cheney - good riddance. Endorsing the cadaver Kerry for president....... I am laughing at the way his career goes down in flames. He got in bed with the liberal establishment and his usefulness was over - they took him out before the next election. Ole Hillary is smiling right now....

Would he have been fired if he’d called them macacas? /s

It took them long enough. I guess when enough large sponsors said, “Basta!” (That’s Italian for “Enough!” not 5/7ths of what Imus is.) did PMSNBC act. The network is only trying to cut its losses.
I wonder if WTKK, the FM station that runs Imus’ program in Boston will, as Howie Carr suggests, change its call letters to WTKKK and invite Robert Byrd to host a show in the evening, a religious show in which you can hear the cross crackling over the airwaves.
To: DCPatriot
How can I get my point across? Maybe it’s impossible.
I find the hypocrisy astounding regarding what one may say (without repercussions) about minorities vs. Christians for white males.

Sad.
Center for Intrepid
The symbol of a broken ring, cracked but still intact, marks the entrance to the new Center for the Intrepid, a 65,000-square-foot rehabilitation center next to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. (U.S. Air Force photo/Daren Reehl)
Thanks Don. No telling how much more could have been done for our wounded Warriors.

You’re simply wrong, and you’d realize it if you’d only consider the bigger picture and the lasting effects of this feeding frenzy.
To: tiredoflaundry
LOL. GMTA. When ever Fox and Friends gets boring, I turned to Imus for want of anything else to watch. Now I can't even do that. sigh
There's going to be a lot of people who's only use for PMSNBC was Imus.

The only thing that makes this big is that Imus is a liberal. Normally, they can only make this stuff stick with conservatives.
Imus is a cranky old man that looks to be about 30 years older than his actual age.
Good riddiance.
Now, if we can just rid ourselves of Sharpton and Jackson, the Justice Brothers.

While I really don’t give a crap about Imus, this whole thing is ridiculously overblown PC BS.

Not a fan of Imus but whenever something like this happens the race baiters get emboldened. They should spend their efforts trying to fix problems in their communities such as drugs and teenage pregnancy. They should work to help empower black americans. Instead they would rather focus their efforts on perpetuating the idea of black victimhood.
To: 4yearlurker
I think he should go to satellite. They’re not as trippy about controversy. MSNBC is getting rid of their top rated program. Now they will have NO viewers. Idiots.
