I was listening to the Laura Ingraham radio show today and they were talking about how some cars are girly cars and some are manly cars. Laura was particularly mentioning that the Mazda Miata was a girly car. This was news to me. Her assisitant chimed in with saying the Mazda 3 was a girly car. This was also news to me. I'm in the market for a new car and was thinking of buying the MAzda 3 or a Miata. I've been told that the 3 has fewer service issues than other Mazda cars.
Of course one would gather that the manly cars would be trucks.
One girly car I've noticed is the VW Beetle. I've never seen a man driving one of those.
What do Freepers think? What cars are girly cars and what cars are manly cars.
Yeah, you increase your chances for a date. LOL
Enjoy! They have some fantastic stuff.
That is a cool site.....Thanks
Lib Homo car.......
First it would have to be able to perform off road :)
That’s actually pretty darn cool.
Well, there are certainly some male chromosones in the drivers, to be sure.
That whole girle car thing is such a load of crap to me. As if there are no homos driving muscle cars. As if pickup trucks aren't a favorite of lesbians. Does that mean your average pickup truck driver is a lesbian? Gimme a break.
Some pundit designates some car a girlie car, and all the knee-jerkers get on the bandwagon.
Laura Ingraham got replaced by Dennis Miller in my town. Some of her comedy schtick was funny but she's real full of herself.
Your wife’s a lucky man. ;O)
There isn’t a car made today that isn’t girly. Even the trucks look girly to me.
The only thing not girly to me is an old rusty pickup, or an older rear wheel drive full sized sedan.

They're very popular in places like Colorado; they were the only 4wd passenger cars for a long time, and the first choice for folks who had to deal with a lot of snowy roads but didn't need a big truck.
I had a Subaru for a few months many years ago. It had something cool I'd never seen before and haven't seen since; they called it hill-hold. It was a kind of limited-slip clutch, so if you were facing uphill at a red light, you wouldn't roll back with the car in gear and the clutch disengaged. So you didn't have to do the heel-toe trick or pop the clutch to avoid rolling back into the idiot who was tailgating. Every car with a manual transmission should have that.
I don't discount the "lifestyle brand" elements of a car purchase; I like the way my car looks. But how it works is a more important consideration.
Yea it is. My nephew has one. I squished it with my Surburban backing up!
... and then your insurance company cut a check that bought him a replacement with enough left over for a year's worth of gas.
Good show!
Now that’s just funny!
(OK, I’ll take the hit for the automatic ;’}
I'd love to watch you make than announcement in a room full of Teamsters.
Boxter: Girly
911: Manly
It's an old idea, actually. A few cars and trucks from the 50's and 60's had them...Studebaker, maybe? Sounds like an extra Studebaker would have offered...
Even though I've read a manual explaining how it worked, I can't recall much, except the name, 'hill hold' is identical. The name does ring the memory bell clearly.
