I left so many places because I couldn’t stand the drugs, the open sex, illegal abortions. College was like a descent into hell. I got through it with as much dignity as I could salvage. It is necessary to have the degree, but 90 percent of my experiences exemplified the old adage, “Everyone has a purpose in life, even if it’s to serve as a bad example.”
So the innocent players are assumed guilty! Must be that “white privilege” they teach in college.
I was also treasurer of a fraternity and in my experience it was pretty common.
Ok you've got me, I may have done something irresponsible, you see when I went to school I was a military veteran with an honorable discharge, but long before that my dad had taught me to be honorable and to live up to my commitments. Something a lot of todays parents don't seem to know about.

Furthermore, I was referring to a “frat” mentality, not frat brothers specifically. Would you feel better if I had used the term “Animal House” mentality?
As for my “perversion” I can’t agree that a normal heterosexual male enjoying the sight of a beautiful woman’s body as being perverted. Base, crude, low class, perhaps, certainly not the expression of my highest nature, but it’s a natural, God given urge and I decided a long time not to apologize for being a man.
Your right he should have gone to the university sponsored show, “The Vagina Monologue”.
My husband completed college after Vietnam, also. He did it on a football scholarship, but he played lacrosse in high school and would have loved to play it in college. My husband was married with a child when he finished college, or he might have been involved in team parties, too.
I have to agree here. I'm a college student here at Duke, and I'm within a month of graduating. I can't wait to get out of here; my time here has been so awful, starting from the very first day of my freshman year.
This is one of the reasons why I like FR. I'm probably the one here at Duke who would agree with your statement. I'm not crazy! :)
Message to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson:
“There are people that want you to remain in a hole, and they rejoice in your hopelessness because they have jobs mismanaging you. However, your job is not becoming victims. We have to rise up and fight on all levels to succeed.” Bill Cosby
an apology from each of the faculty that prejudged this case would be in order.
certainly the newspapers and tv that pushed nifong’s racism need come forward and apologize.
the church and their goers that paraded around town need to humble themselves.
Thank you Church Lady. But would you have locked you son in a 6 X 8 cell for the next 30 years for wanting to see a naked lady dance?
