Well, I am going to tell about that, but first, something else happened... a little bitty something....

I SAW THE PRESIDENT TONIGHT!!! Okay, I saw his helicopter. I did not even know he was in L.A. today, so as I got off the bus and sauntered down the street towards home, I began to hear a very loud rumble of helos, louder than I would normally hear.

As I kept searching the sky and horizon, finally a very low flying military chopper came in view, followed by two others. I just know that is ONLY for the President (or, perhaps, Veep). I am near both Santa Monica Airport and the LAX flightpath.

The helo-cade was headed for LAX. So, I scurried on home and checked online. Sure thing, he was here briefly for a fundraiser. Here is the story: http://cbs2.com/topstories/local_story_094192049.html

Lucky you!! I would be thrilled to just get to see his chopper fly over too. I have only seen one president and I hesitate to say which one it was.....don't tell anyone, Dwight D. Eisenhower. I was very, very young. I vaguely remember him riding in an open car in a ticker tape parade in DC and waving to the crowd. LOL.
