In his most combative comments yet, President Bush mocked Democratic lawmakers yesterday for including a deadline for troop withdrawals and "pork" projects in an Iraq spending bill, declaring that "the American people will know who to hold responsible" if funding for the war stalls.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) shot back that Bush's vow to veto the spending bill carries its own cost. In a joint letter, they warned him against following "a political strategy that would needlessly delay funding for our troops."

Take that letter, flip it over, and stamp TREASON on it.

Our President is fighting the good fight, and he needs our support.

A campaign by active-duty troops asking Congress to drop plans for a withdrawal from Iraq. Lt. Jason Nichols, a 33-year-old naval projects officer who has been in Baghdad since mid-January, said the goal is to keep lawmakers focused on letting the military finish its mission in Iraq, and not prematurely declare failure

These b*stards should look in the mirror. They're the ones responsible for the delay.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) shot back that he better not veto their bill to help kill Americans. And that they have promised al-Qaeda that they would surrender and help to secure their place in the new Sharia Law Government. Or words to that effect.

Never have the differences between the two partys been so clearly on display.

Shame on those that voted for these traitors.
Shame.

Two events in the war on terror will stay with me forever as defining moments in this conflict.

9-11

And the democrats monstrous betrayal of our troops.

BOTH victorious days for the enemys of civilization.

Good going democrats. Thanks.

Never forget, never forgive.

Everyone must remember what the democrats have done and we must fight them here at home as hard as our troops fight the enemy abroad.

They both will ultimately fail. Because they stand on the wrong side of history.

According to these two WaPo writers it is President Bush that is being combative while Pelosi and Reid are just doing their job in surrendering to terrorism.

I'll take combative any day.

Shame on those that voted for these traitors. Shame.

And shame on those who sat this election out. This is the worst congress in my lifetime.

In a joint letter, the Democrats should be warned against following a political strategy that would harm our troops, and the Iraqis, while also emboldening our enemies.

Unfortunately, GWB chose to sit on his keister for years as Pelosi et al attacked him w/o retort. Now Bush and the country may pay in spades for this inaction!

The Marxist Media is already training the public to believe that Bush's veto "would hurt the troops". That's their new focus-grouped talking point.

Yep, and those of us here who have been warning that this is exactly what would result have been accused of "attacking the President".

I'll forgo the "I told you so" and continue to support the President's NEW New Tone:

So will I as long as the NEW tone continues as needed. Bush needs to take to the stump every day on this issue.

NOW what Bush should do is demand that congress stay in session until they come up with a bill that will fund the soldiers in the field.

I agree, but it is almost exactly the same worse congress which abandoned millions to death at the hands of the communists with which they started the war, in the first place!

They gained success in cowardice and back-stabbing abandonment of an ally . . . they are attempting to do the same again!

To abandon millions of Iraqis to the whims of our terrorist enemy; Islamic jihad and the use of human sacrifice. No one can criticize them (Islam), whatsoever! At the same time, and out of the other side of their psuedo-religious face, they wish genocide on other religions and sue those who might think their suspicious behaviour is odd and perhaps dangerous!

True-life, died-in-the-wool (seriously) hypocrites and literally madmen.

They applaud the election and activities of this simple (in all its pejorative meanings) majority (Democratics). They are the real life allies of the Democratics, the Leftist scum in our society!

I quite sincerely hope that Bush follows through and vetoes this treason (Gordon Smith (R-OR) being a double traitor.) The government needs shutting down, even if just in part, to show the American people just what scum these Leftist/Democratic traitors are, and all to attempt political genocide of their own against Republicans.

In addition, everyone should send an email to both Senators and their district's congressperson. . . the word subversion is entirely accurate and appropriate!
