According to these two WaPo writers it is President Bush that is being combative while Pelosi and Reid are just doing their job in surrendering to terrorism.

In a joint letter, the Democrats should be warned against following a political strategy that would harm our troops, and the Iraqis, while also emboldening our enemies.
NOW what Bush should do is demand that congress stay in session until they come up with a bill that will fund the soldiers in the field.
