"Everyone knows hes conservative and has come out strongly for the things that the pro-family movement stands for, Dobson considered the most politically powerful evangelical figure in the U.S. said in a phone call to Dan Gilgoff, senior editor at U.S. News & World Report.
"[But] I dont think hes a Christian. At least thats my impression.
Thompsons spokesman Mark Corallo took issue with the statement.
"Thompson is indeed a Christian, he said. "He was baptized into the Church of Christ.

I'm sure that every congregation is different and reflective of those who worship there. I think you'll find this true, not matter WHICH 'denomination' you would look at.
Or which ever RCC building you'd care to inspect.

I really don't understand this question. Or perhaps, you are attempting to mock Jesus. It won't work. He was already crucified and He rose from the dead! Is the slap at the grammar a way to tell "us Jesus freaks" that we don't know how to use proper English? Don't you just love the educated debates where the participants use reason and logic and not resort to simple minded name calling?

"dear familyop:
Thompson may be a member in the Church of Christ that has nothing to do with the "UNITED Church of Christ" denomination. I am not of Thompson's theological persuasion, and wouldn't want to be, but I recommend you do your research carefully before throwing out websites that imply Thompson would, for example, support divestment from Israel or host terrorists.
The "UNITED Church of Christ" is indeed a very liberal mess. There are thousands of congregations that call themselves "Church of Christ" that are actually autonomous congregations not affiliated with the liberal denomination, but are actually very conservative in nature.
Be careful."
"Be careful," or what? If you have something to say, go ahead, and say it plainly.

"[But] I dont think hes a Christian. At least thats my impression.
If so, the guy needs to realize that there's a whole lot more going on in the world than his impression of what is going on.

Consider this also.....McCain's buddy Chuck Hagel has been endearing himself to the MSM lately with rumours of a presidential candidacy and talking "impeachment."
Is it possible that Hagel is kissing up to the liberal media to become their new darling so we'll all forget about McCain's kiss ups to them.

Excuse me, you're a little confused. James Dobson is not God.
And he has no right to say who is Christian and who is not.
You are confusing the message and the messenger.

I really don't understand this question. It 'wuz' a reference to an earlier post about the UCC or the CoC or plain ol' churches of Christ that had being baptised in just Jesus name snipped from somewhere. I 'was' hoping that someone remembered, so lazy me would not have to go look for it again.
