Like I said, you social Ayatollahs need to calm down. Most American voters don't want the Government telling us what to think and do in our private lives. Low taxes, less government, and strong national security=Reaganism+election victories.
Republicans lost in 2006 because of out of control spending, a perception that we were unable to protect the country (especially at the border), and that a pervasive culture of corruption and dishonesty had overtaken our elected officials. All the social rhetoric in the world could not save us.
I frankly could care less about 90% of the stuff on your list, and I doubt if many other voters do either.
Fiscal conservatism, less government intervention in our lives, and public security-that is what wins elections.
Interference???? Can you even read?
Hows this for INTERFERENCE:
Mandating no smoking policies for restuarants, suing tobacco companies for supplying a legal product, suing the gun manufacturers for supplying a legal product, enacting onerous gun control laws on NY citizens, mandating the gov't pay for poor women's abortions, illegal random search and siezures (overturned buy courts), illegal confiscation of property of acquitted induviduals, mandatory condemns in school, telling the military to accept openly gay servicemenbers, champion of hate crimes legislation, mandating money for illegal alien welfare.
He's interfering all right, in the most vile, leftist way imaginable.
Those are top issues for me this election. I want to see this country get back to promoting self-government - personal liberty and personal responsibility - including the freedom to screw up and outright fail and keep government out of our lives as much as possible.
Other than putting his emergency control center in the WTC, that was the biggest target on earth and hit before and naming one of the most corrupt politicos (Kerick) to head homeland security, what has Rudy done for national security since 9/11?
Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do. - Rudy Giuliani
