Is Jim Webb Unhinged?--Freep Poll (Vanity)
OldCorps ^ | 23 March 2007 | OldCorps

Posted on 03/28/2007 6:26:55 AM PDT by OldCorps

Fox news covered some of Sen. Webb's press conference yesterday in which he discussed the circumstances surrounding the arrest of one of his assistants for posession of a weapon and ammunition on the capital grounds. Being a former infantry soldier, I cut Sen. Webb a lot of slack because he has seen combat up close and was awarded the Navy Cross. However, he did seem a little...too intense at the interview and it appeared he was hanging a subordinate out to dry, which we military guys don't like even though it happens all the time.

So, what do you think fellow freepers?

Trafficant had a sense of humor, at least he was good for laughs. Webb has no sense of humor, just full of rage. I won't even comment on Webb's disgusting writings.

He's a Democrat and that's all I need to know. They're all lunatics and/or traitors.

"He gives me the creeps. A really weird looking dude."

He gives me the creeps, too! He has that "dirty old man" look about him. Others have mentioned his shifty eyes -- I noticed that last night when he was talking to the MSM --he couldn't keep them still. His eyes kept rolling around in his head, like he was looking for someone to come and take him away.

Oh, there are some freepers who proudly voted for Jim Webb.

Proudly, mind you. I choose not to ping them. They know who they are.

Boy that sounds like Jim Webb. Bitter, petty and a big grudge-holder.

The VA GOP should figure out now whom to nominate for the inevitable special election after the Webb blow-up.

Oh, there are some freepers who proudly voted for Jim Webb.

I spent a good portion of the fall campaign having the exactly same arguments with some FReepers that I was having with the leftists in the Virginia blogosphere.

He's carrying a loaded revolver with CLIPS!!!!! What the hell kind of gunfight was he planning on that he needs CLIPS!!!

Revolvers don't use clips. At best, perhaps speed loaders

I'm sure the press person is having a nervous breakdown, especially after yesterday's ambush, er, I mean, performance, and the person who does the personnel admin job is not having a good week, either.

It reminds me of my own profession. Mathematicians can sometimes do the stupidest things. Military men can sometimes do the most dishonorable things. The most honorable thing for Webb to do would be to accept full responsibility -- at least after the night in jail -- whether it's his fault or not.

I knew he was crazy when he became a RAT and started trashing Reagan. I realized he was totally deranged when I read the passages from his books. His failure to come clean to help his own aide shows he's a chickenshit, as well.

Now that you mention his writings, I'm sure this was a set-up for a new novel Webb is writing about a Senator's aide sneaking guns into the Senate ...

It's just for fiction, folks...

Right.

If the author of this article had read any of Jim Webb's books, he wouldn't have asked this question.
