I am so sad with this news, but hold out hope because that's all we can do. God will take care of him for us if we keep praying. I hope that the ones that are optomistic are right. Prayers for his doctors, too.

I missed being here with everyone to get comfort from being together.

This is not a political issue, it is simply a human issue. Thanks Deep Blue for having the courage to stop in—it says a lot of good things about you.

Don't listen to all these pessimists playing doctor around here - they love you & mean well, but they've confused the metastatic cancer with regular stuff.

You're relatively young & otherwise very healthy, the Docs found it early & there are all kinds of new drug therapies floating around now. So if you know what's good for you, you better not give up your day job just yet Tony.

I'm NOT pessimistic about this. Sure you may look like a ridiculously angelic pretty-boy, but I'm quite certain you're more than able to beat the effin cr@% out of this disease.

So you just get busy doing whatever it takes to kick it, & we'll all do our part on this end.

Prayers up for Tony, for his wife & especially his kids, because they need to believe with all their hearts that their Dad can & will win this fight.

Gosh, why the heck did God have to pick this week to prove He's bipartisan? ;-)

Oh, and P.S., Tony don't forget this.

Looks like you choose to blame God because we live on earth and not in heaven.

All men will die - no matter how good or bad they have been.

Did He stop His own Son from dying a horrible death? No, he created the plan to give His Son as the perfect sacrifice for man who could never be perfect enough to live with God. All man is required to do for this eternal gift is to accept Jesus, repent of his sins and be baptised for the remission of those sins and follow Him in this life. Jesus' blood pays the price for man and allows man to choose to serve Him and have eternal life.

Yet, man comes along and tries to create God in his view, chastises God if He does not give per each and every request.

Well, this is not heaven. That will happen in Heaven but this is earth and on earth there is sickness, death, sorrow and the works of evil, sin as well as the works of God.

Each of us have prayers that were not answered, each of us have had deaths we did not wish, but we also each had the availibility of Jesus to intercede for us with the Father, to provide comfort and strength to get through our days.

God never - ever - willed a death such as Jessica endured - but man, choosing to follow evil and flaunt his own way to torture and kill did.

Evil is loosed in this world and evil is responsible for the horrors we rail against - not God.

And, we have the right to give our requests to God, but it is foolish to expect that each and everytime we give a shopping list to God, He is there merely to grant our wishes. God is the Creator, God has the plan and God will grant prayers or not, He will hear them or not, but we are still His if we choose to follow His plan.

And, just what is the alternative? To deny God? To deny Jesus and follow the devil? And just what does that gain one.

138. What the f*** is up with this censorship?
What is this, DU or Free Republic? I object to messages being removed out of hand with no comment even being made to the original poster. I can't even ask the censor WHY it was removed in the first place.

What I said wasn't even out of line. "No tears." While we shouldn't salivate over the idea of someone dying or fantasize about what we'd do if we had "five minutes alone with him," I see no need to shed tears when the fate finally fits the crime. So many good people suffer without reason, I don't see the need to shed tears for someone who could actually deserve it. I'm not talking about gloating, I'm not talking about cackling or picketing the funeral or p***ing on the grave, I'm just talking about wasting no sympathy on a person deserving of none. You want to cry over someone with cancer? I believe we have a certain candidate's wife who could use some comfort.

So, is some nameless mod gonna censor this, too?

Many prayers for Tony. I'll always remember a clip I saw of him with his band a few years back playing a Bad Company song. Always hoped I could catch them playing somewhere. They were quite good!

Keep on rockin' Tony!!

Welcome to FR, & thanks so much for finally deciding to post on this thread in particular.

I'm so very very sorry about your Mom. It makes your offer of prayer for Tony all the more special coming as it does with a heartfelt connection to your own loss.

Everyone's prayers for Tony & his family have the potential to lift his spirits & give him the extra strength he's going to need to fight this. Thanks for hopping aboard to do so! ;-)

Gee, you should work at CNN, you can actually find a decent press photo. Oops, sorry, I forgot that since he's a Republican that's a good excuse to dig out the worst possible picture to put up on the web, you know, just to celebrate Snow's bad luck.

No CNN job for you!

That's a great picture of him. Shows him in his natural optimistic state. Just the kind of guy he's always been.

I'm seeing a cancer doctor, Borum, on FNC now. She was saying he's now got a Stage 4 cancer. When he was first treated a few years ago, that was a Stage 3 cancer. Of course, I don't really know what Stage 3 or Stage 4 are but a higher number can't be good. The cancer doctor said there were various treatment options still available.
