Tunes For The Troops
 

  For this weeks Canteen Music Dedication we move along the timeline to "Power Metal" music.

Power metal is a style of heavy metal music with the aim of evoking an "epic" feel, incorporating characteristics of primarily traditional metal along with thrash metal or speed metal, often within symphonic context.

Power metal lyrics are widely associated with being "upbeat" or "optimistic." Power metal is a style highly focused on the vocalist, with "clean" vocals being much more prevalent than the growling vocals often associated with death metal and black metal.

The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. All DeeJays are happy to fill requests dedicated to the troops if we can.

We will be on the road MUCH less than we were in Texas..

You make me salivate at the thought of all the neat things
you will show us in your beautiful state! I am getting my
passport in case we decide to go to Canada. Plus, I want
to see Niagara Falls as BB has promised for 2 years! :D

I guess I should gear up and start posting some music soon,
before it's time to go get ready for work this afternoon.

The wife has some kind of conference in April in SA but I don't know the date of the conference nor do I know the date of the shoot-out.

WE are arriving in San Antonio at various times of the day on Friday, April 13th, and are having dinner at Mi Tierra's that evening...to which you and Boss#1 are cordially invited.

The shoot is on Saturday, April 14th...but NYT will have to tell you where, as I have forgotten the name of the place. LOL! I can see him rolling his eyes now! :D

After the shoot we are having a BBQ/FishFry at a FReeper's home....and you can caravan there with us or we'll find out the directions to it.

Now, Mushroom, go tell Boss #1, and BE THERE or be square!
