In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it. “… [this bill] has no chance of becoming law.” Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Iraq Provincial Reconstruction Team at the State Department.

Press Secretary Tony Snow made an announcement about his health at the end of today’s press briefing. (Transcript)

On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)

President Bush was also joined in the White House today by Archbishop Demetrios for the proclamation of March 25, 2007 as National Greek Independence Day, “A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy”. (Transcript)

I came across the item below on 'anysoldier.com'. Not sure if you've heard about this. My Congressman is a BIG supporter of our troops but I don't see his name on the list (shown on anysoldier.com) so I'll call on Monday.

That would sure be nice....I spend a small fortune every month on postage.....this is the first I've heard of this Bill.

I came across this by accident. The woman in my Rep Club who sends LOTS of packages asked me about a website to locate soldiers who she could send packages to...glad I checked out anysoldier.com.
This Bill would be a very good thing for families and friend of our military. I quickly read the text of the Bill and looks like there may be limits on number of pkgs etc. But, every little bit would help.

I'll Never Forget Something Tony Snow Said that Illustrates the Depth of Love our President has for Laura: he Said that Some Woman Developed a Crush Upon our President, and he Finally Told her he wasn't Interested, and Someone Heard him Tell her that, and Said, "You Hurt her Feelings." And our President Said with a Godly Indignance, "I'm a Married Man!"

I'll just Never Forget that; what a Testimony to his Faithfulness, Commitment, and Devotion to Laura. My Heart is Thankful to God for him!

That incident happened when W was working on his Dad's 92 campaign.

Some woman who was making advances toward him was offended that he rebuffed her, and he basically said, Too bad. I'm a married man. She should apologize, not me.

Something like that anyway.

He has always been a devoted, faithful, committed husband.....and that's one of the reasons we all love him so much. :)

I'm So Grateful America has Been Blessed with this Good Man; when the 'Toon and his 'Wife' Left the White House, (or Rather, had to be Dragged Kicking and Screaming from the White House, their Stooges Destroying the W Keyes and Doing Other Childish Things) it was Literally a Going from Darkness to Light, and I'll Cherish for the Rest of my Life these Years of George W. Bush and his Loving Wife.
