In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it. [this bill] has no chance of becoming law. Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. (Transcript)

On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)

Some posters here knock Gene Taylor, but he votes with the GOP on most important issues.
Isn't if funny that liberals don't discover their true ethnicity until they run for national office?
John Kerry's Jewish, ya know :)
I'm going to send it to my son, Eric.
He'll love it.
You've really been through it.
I wish he would get really disgusted and switch parties.
Whoa ...
And Ronstadt used to be a babe.
Now she looks like Helen Thomas :o
And that was BEFORE today.
Oh, it's new ... just previewed at a local theatre that does new musicals. Headed for Broadway with a few changes that my friend and I could easily make.
Nope :)
I've done several train trips from the Northeast down to MS and back. Our two younger kids and I rode from MA down to Orlando a few years ago to meet the Hobbit Hole Freepers for a vacation. I love the train, but SirKit hates it; he gets bored just sitting there or just being in a confined space for so long. However, he has expressed interest in taking the train part of the way across Canada to the Canadian Rockies. That one has a tall dome area where you can sit up high to see the sights. That would be fun!
Exactly right.
But jonny's right. The same bozos who are saying the Bush will never compare with Reagan will someday saying that the next guy will never compare with Bush.
(Only then they'll be right. :)
Of course he is. I believe him. I haven't noticed that all these ethnicities they find late in life are the Left's pet minorities. Nope. Not me. Not observant like that at all. Uh, uh. Honest injun.
See what going around with a Moonbeam will do for a girl.
A time-share in a space station?? LOL! And have they ever been to that space station? Noooo :)
Folks either don't know, or choose to forget, that some Republicans were just as brutal toward Reagan in his last couple of years as they are about President Bush now.
It's amazing how easily some conservatives can turn on the folks they previously supported, just because they see it everywhere else.
Exactly! About EVERYTHING!
Someday even Rush will understand what this President has done.
For those of us who are pro-life, pro-family, he is even more conservative than Reagan. And when you just objectively look at what he's done in the realm of the judiciary and moving the country back to having a culture of life, there is NO way you would say that Reagan was better.
None of this makes sense to me.
I wish I knew. On Monday, I'm going to get the bone stimulator. If this doesn't work, I guess I get to do the bone graft surgery. That was my orthopedist's original suggestion until he decided to go with the bone stimulator. I'm having issues with the ankle today and the weird thing is I've barely walked at all. And when I did, I had the cam walker on. And now I'm having issues with my left knee again because the cam walker makes me off balance. It's all so much fun...
Define "space station." :)
