In response to the democrats passing their ANTI-TROOP bill, President Bush made a statement from the White House, vowing to veto it.
[this bill] has no chance of becoming law. Accompanying the president were members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, families of deployed service members and families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. (Transcript)
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice met with the Iraq Provincial Reconstruction Team at the State Department.
Press Secretary Tony Snow made an announcement about his health at the end of todays press briefing. (Transcript)
On a lighter note, President and Mrs. Bush welcomed the family of former President Johnson to the Oval Office for the naming of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building. (Click here for more information)
President Bush was also joined in the White House today by Archbishop Demetrios for the proclamation of March 25, 2007 as National Greek Independence Day, A National Day of Celebration of Greek and American Democracy. (Transcript)

President Johnson < gag hack spit >I had the same reaction.
I just think of it as an honor for the family, not the man.

Linda and Moonbeam back in their salad days. They were a couple for around 10 years.

"As I have made clear for weeks, I will veto it if it comes to my desk. And because the vote in the House was so close, it is clear that my veto would be sustained."It is equally clear that the only reason the Democrats went through that little exercise was to try to embarass the President. Now let me ask y'all, does he look embarassed?
*snort* Stoopid Dems.

I really don't understand why he keeps harping on this.
I think he's inclined to take a position and then start to worship it. I know a lot of people like that.
I ought to send him Dr. Deb's list of his accomplishments. I am saving a lot of her stuff to a special file I have.
He's probably the most pro family values president we've had in my memory.
Does anybody even realize what he has on his plate and yet he's stuck to his principles about everything.
Oh, well.

"And so I certainly encourage everybody to send their thoughts and prayers to Senator Edwards and to Mrs. Edwards. And what she is going to do is going to provide a lot of encouragement and example that I think is going to help a lot of people, and that is a truly wonderful thing, and I congratulate her for it."Now that man, my friends, is a CLASS act!! Tony is just the greatest!

Well, since you enjoyed that so much here is another one. When Jan was about 2 or 3, she and I were riding skateboards in the hallway. She started to fall, I tried to catch her and fell off and had bruises all over my legs! We both would have been better off if I had just let her fall the short distance she was from the floor.

Want to know why Jerry Brown is called Moonbeam? Lots of reasons, but here's a good indicator -- and this is true, not a joke:
1981 - The first permanent space station is complete. Time-shares are snapped up by Björn Borg, Linda Ronstadt and Jerry Brown, Jim Brown, and Peter Frampton. The scene at the pool is awesome.

I would like to see Pres. Bush's poll numbers after that speech today!!!
BTW..I read on another website that Nancy Pelosi stiffed Rep. Barbara Lee....Lee was supposed to get a ride back to California with Pelosi...but, since Lee (who is big in the Out of Iraq Caucus) voted AGAINST the bill today...
Pelosi left without her....LOLOLOLOL
Oh...and when one other Dem representative told Pelosi that he didn't think he could, in good conscience vote FOR the bill..so he was very torn...Pelosi said "let's pray about it".....ROFL
