I really think its none of our business how they chose to spend this time. Some people believe that continuing with their lives is the best way to keep their minds focused on getting better.
It may indeed be none of our business; but when a man has a wife with a terminal illness, and three children (two are still very small), then I would think his main concern would be for the wife and for the kids. These kids need to have attention from their parents as they are also going to be under extreme distress, IMHO. Just who is going to be the care giver for the children with the dad running around campaigning for an office which he will never get anyway. Elizabeth Edwards is not only going to be worrying about her children, but going to treatments which will debilitate her and cause weakness and fatigue.
Who's watching the kids???
From a psychological standpoint, she may get more relief from the distractions of being very very busy.
Her choice, I hope.
Prayers for them all.
I completely agree with you. She looked strong and said in the press conference that she feels good . As longs as she continues to feel fine and gets treatment, I see no reason to criticize their decision. She stated that if the doctor had told her not to go on the campaign trail, that Edwards would have dropped out.
I may not agree with Edwards, but I don't believe he would put his aspirations ahead of his family.
I know I'll be in the minority on this board, but I have no problem with their decision.
