Chicago -- This wasn't any barfight caught on tape. An angry man pummels a much smaller female bartender. As it turns out, he's a Chicago police officer and late Tuesday night he was taken into custory. Craig Wall has the complete details on this exclusive story.

You aren't seriously saying that all cops were clean when they were still white are you?

Look at those fricking COWARDS stand there and WATCH!
Chicago must be full of p*ssies. From the badge jockeys on down.
I woulda broke his fracking teeth!
Bar stool across the back of his head until he's not moving nor likely to move again.
Filthy, low-life, cowardly SOB needs to be introduced to Mr. Louisville Slugger to the face after he gets off on that technicality I'm sure will be coming.
Damn this just pisses me all the way off.

"Regardless, the men in the bar should have done something."Yes, I would have. The guy would never have got a chance to hit her once though. Then this thread would be about me, and y'all'd be talkin' about how ugly the guy they're looking for is.

What? She didn't give it up.
Haven't you ever drank in Chicago? We're the hog butchers and bartender slappers of the world.

I bet the guys in the bar knew he was a cop. They protect their own.
Since cops travel in packs, I'd bet there were more than a few of his brother officers standing back and watching the "uppity b*tch" get what they thought she deserved.
We'll never know, but I would be terribly surprised if he was without backup.

There are bad cops, and the good police hate them as much as we do. They usually are dealt with withing their own society... and they usually get dealt with damn well! You obviously write for Scrappleface.

My money says this guy has beat on women before and probably often. I'd bet on it!

I too was outraged by the three cowards standing around watching a girl mauled by a crazed thug. These cowards would have sat on their thumbs while a lone terrorist took out all of the stewardesses on an airplane with a box cutter. These bums would have looked the other way while a drug crazed teenager rapes their sister. This video casts doubt on the moral climate of the people of Chicago.

What a disgusting video, but I have less contempt for the by-standers than a lot of you do.
They've GOT to be thinking... "what do I do?" "does this guy have a gun?" "If I touch this guy, am *I* going to be charged with assaulting a cop and end up in jail...?" -- and if those kind of thoughts are going on, I can understand them freezing up and doing what they feel they CAN do -- which is why one guy's on the phone, presumably phoning the police. So... I don't know. It's a tough one.
Anyway, that sure is one plucky bartender. I hope she's okay.

"Solitary? Nah. Put the cop in general population and see what happens."
Ditto that.
I'm surprised that the "defend-all-cops-no-matter-what" brigade hasn't shown up on this thread.

A guy that would beat a woman in front of other people...you can bet she isn't the first woman he ever beat.

I've noted many times on FR a general principle that seldom has failed me. "Cops suck."

This cop has a long history of alcohol-related crimes. The other people in the bar probably knew he was a cop, and probably armed. Makes ya proud, don't it? I hope this woman sues the city for millions for employing this pig. The news was that the Chicago PD tried to cover this up and got caught.

Big guy, schmig guy. I'm 51 years old and 5' 8"....and if I ever witnessed something like that, I'd be all over the sumbitch like a cheap suit.
He'd feel it, too. Trust me.
