"Comprehensive Immigration Reform" to be Introduced Tomorrow!

March 21, 2007

Yesterday, Congressmen Jeff Flake (R-AZ) and Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) held a conference call with reporters in which they announced their intention to introduce a "comprehensive immigration reform" bill on Thursday. There were few substantive details released at that time, but sources tell us that at the very least, the bill will contain some sort of amnesty provision for illegal aliens currently in the United States.

This morning, CongressDaily reports that Congressmen Flake and Gutierrez, who had been participating in negotiations with Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Ted Kennedy (D-MA) about the components of a new immigration bill, have now decided to let the Senate move on its own track and forge ahead with their legislation in the House. One aide to Flake is quoted as saying, "The House has not had a chance to consider a comprehensive immigration bill."

Observers note that there has been discord in the Senate as Members have had difficulty pleasing both the demands of labor and big business. Nevertheless, Senator Kennedy issued a statement applauding the introduction of "comprehensive immigration reform" legislation in the House. The statement said, "While we're still negotiating in the Senate, I'm optimistic that we will have legislation soon."

NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT!!!

Please call your Representatives TODAY and urge them to reject guest worker amnesty legislation. Tell them:

You oppose guest worker programs that displace American workers and depress wages; You oppose rewarding illegal immigration with a path to citizenship; Rewarding illegal immigration will only lead to more illegal immigration; and Granting amnesty is inherently unfair to those who play by the rules, apply through legal channels, and patiently wait in line to come to the United States. To find the phone number for your Representative, click here.

Your voices do make a difference!!! Yesterday, the New York Times reported that candidates campaigning in Iowa are hearing non-stop from voters who are upset at the prospect Congress will pass guest worker amnesty legislation. The paper writes: "The issue has become much more complicated as the presidential campaign has gotten under way, exposing the Republicans in particular to voters who are angry about what they see as porous borders, growing demands from immigrants on the social welfare and education systems and job losses that they link at least in part to a low-wage labor force coming over the border." To read the entire article, click here.

In addition, PLEASE take time out of your busy schedules to attend town hall meetings! Go with your family, friends and neighbors to let your Representatives and Senators know how you feel. While you may not immediately see how persuasive you are, FAIR hears stories from Congressional staffers all the time about how immigration is one of the most important issues at district events. Members want to hear from their voters, and if you do not voice your opinion, the voices of special interests will prevail!

Stay tuned for more updates from FAIR.

When their bambinos turn 18 they will vote for any candidate that promises rewards to madre and padre for all their past "suffering".

Hopefully their bambinos will be "Americanized" to the point that they won't give a rat's hind leg about voting when they turn 18, and up to about 25 or so. I didn't much care about it when I was 18. I was too busy doing other stuff, like girls, cars, stereos etc. Oh, yeah, I joined the USMC, too for 4 years. Didn't see much news or pay much attention then either. I f they are like my 20 year old daughter and her friends, they are more into having a good time and listening to music rather than talk radio or reading Cosmo or H'wood people rags rather than newspapers. ......

Wishful thinking, I am afraid.

Yes.

Bush, Gonzales, the RINOS and all the Dems will work to get through a bill which GIVE to ILLEGAL INVADERS and the corrupt corporations which employ them, the right for them to violate our sovereignty's for a cheap buck.

In the process, people who have no interest in being Americans, no interest in learning English, no desire to absorb our "culture" - the little of it still left, will come be here legally to spawn, steal jobs from native Americans and legal resident aliens at cheap rates, and funnel the money BACK into foreign ratholes - MAINLY Mexico.

So much for "remember the Alamo".

So much for a northeastern yankee claiming to be a good old boy from Texas and spouting rhetoric about "compassionate conservatism."

Bush has been an unmitigated catastrophe and he continues to barrel on, acting more and more like a RINO or a Dem, consorting with the likes of Ted Kennedy.

Its sickening and disgraceful.

The only thing comprehensive about it is that it totally screws citizens and rewards illegals at the same time.

It's a comprehensive sell-out of our country.

We've got examples of what to expect among us now. Some children of immigrants indeed do 'americanize', but far too many see no need to, entirely. More likely they'll pick and choose among those cultural traits that appeal to them.

From what I've seen, first proudly identifying themselves as American is increasingly not among those traits. Its just not as socially acceptable as being oppressed and 'ethnically diverse'.

This country is being invaded and our so-called leaders willingly surrender to the invaders, even offer inducements, in a manner that borders on treason.

Should have figured as much. Bush mentioned the Comprehensive Immigration Bill yesterday during the question and answer period about G;onzales. I guess Bush and Teddie Kennedy will be working together to destroy our country.

Along with a whole bunch more of those globalist traitors. We need to try them for treason and hang the bast*rds. They could care less about Americans. Impeach them NOW!! IF they are not impeachable, surely we can recall them? There has to be some remedy? I have never been so angry in my life. Their arrogance is unbelievable. IF they get away with this, they will keep on taking away our rights.

You may not appreciate this but the only good thing coming out of the Gonzales mess is that it had knocked the smirk off Bush's and Snow's faces. Hopefully, that group of idiots in Washington will step on enough toes to keep from voting together.

This amnesty absolutely gets my stomach in knots. I have this gut feeling when I hear Bush talk about protectionests that he is getting them back with this amnesty. He is definitely giving our sovereignty away and it appears there is nothing we can do.

at the very least, the bill will contain some sort of amnesty provision for illegal aliens currently in the United States.

Why do these politicians keep such a tight hld on the desire to give Amnesty to the lawbreakers? Why are they so anxious to give our country away?
