The precocious documentary filmmaker Evan Coyne Maloney writes:
Scott,
With the upcoming release of "Indoctrinate U"--the feature-length documentary on campus political correctness that I've been working on for the last 3 years--we obviously had a bit of trouble convincing Hollywood distributors that there might be some Americans interested in documentary films from something other than the Michael Moore/Al Gore perspective.
But because people tend to assume that everyone is like them, so the same groupthink that dominates academia is also working against us in the film business. After all, if people don't agree with the premise of the film, they're going to assume that there's no audience for it.
So we decided to launch an Internet campaign to help prove to Hollywood that a market does exist for our film. We set up a Google Map on our new website -- Indoctrinate U -- which allows people to enter their ZIP codes and signal that they're interested in seeing the film. Our new site also has a copy of the film's trailer (which also features one Eliana Johnson, who I didn't realize until quite recently is related to you!). The site's been up and running for less than 24 hours, but so far, the response has been overwhelming.
Please take a look at Evan's trailer and, if you find it worthy, fill out the form to express your support for the film.
JOHN adds: This would make an ideal Power Line Night at the Movies. If we can get a screening, I have no doubt that we could pack the Regal Theater in Eagan.
"Protesting the protesters" which he made in 2003 is GREAT...He posed the question "if war is not the answer..what do you think we should do?" The responses from the protesters was hysterical. There was lotsa stuttering and stammering going on. LOL

It looks interesting - I doubt it will ever be shown at a theater near me but do you know if they are planning to release it on DVD?
Don't know. I did an Amazon.com search for "Protesting The Protesters" and came up empty....
