Yes...I should have left it to Peach.

Thank you Peach.

Did YOU notice that the panel all pretty much said that Gonzalez would be gone if he didn't do well in the hearings..and ALL of them predicted he wouldn't do well...so they pretty much all think that Gonzalez will be gone soon???

If not...I quit

I understand the differences over immigration policy, but how stupid is it to try destroying Gonzalez

..I couldn't be more opposed to the President's immigration policy--but you are right--we cannot give the Democrats one inch on this issue...

I have a feeling the only way you would accept what he has to say is if he machine-gunned the press corp at this conference.

We can dream, can't we? ;-)

Honest to Pete, why would good people want to even serve in an administration?

Good point, but democrats have no shortage of thugs and miscreants willing to serve.

Talk about the party of total corruption.

and he should have been more conciliatory.

Yeah, that works.

Fires all over town? Doesn't he mean arson?

You're right about Rohrabacher going off the deep end. I saw him doing special orders a couple nights ago and thought he needed a rabies shot. I put nothing past him, even more than Tancredo. Why Gibson didn't say Immigration if they meant Immigration, I don't know. Could've just been to seem clever or mysterious. Well, time will tell which word Tancredo meant.

I found this interesting.

Klieg lights were invented by German-born American lighting experts John H. Kliegl (1869-1959) and his brother Anton Tiberius Kliegl (1872-1927).

And perhaps he WILL file an ehtics complaint since Schumer is raising money on this issue as head of the DSSC; a point Cornyn made on the senate floor quite a few times tonight.

..perhaps a shot across his bow--back off or else...

You have it right --- the panel thinks his longevity is dependent upon his performance during the upcoming "inquisition."

"Good point, but democrats have no shortage of thugs and miscreants willing to serve."

Because they're interested in the power, money, and the prestige that come with the position. And they are ruthless enough to get it.

The only reason I even inferred the word Impeach is because I HAVE heard Rohrbacher..and I know he and Tancredo are on the same page about things.

Like you said time will tell if he meant that or not..I am sure someone will ask him if they got that impression.

Fred and Mort were on the money. As attractive as I find Nina Easton, she's a liberal, and the conciliatory remark was way off base. Dubya needed to fire up his own base, and I think he did it.

And we're divided enough to hand it to them.

I would think his longevity would be based on whether he actually did anything wrong.

It has in one sense. As far as the Bush administration is concerned, the MSM has been cut out of the loop. This is why they are so hostile. They are getting NOTHING out of the WH except static. Note all the predictions about Gonzales yesterday. Nobody was right, because they just made it up in desperation.

Look for the next wave of articles calling Bush the most secretive president ever, and that he should be impeached on that basis. Next week will be all about him thwarting the will of Congress, Obstruction of Justice, bla, bla, bla.

This is true, but fundamentally, isn't it just a repeat of the first term mantra of the exact same "most secretive administration ever" mantra? So it seems to me it still doesn't really change the equation long term.

BTW, if you are right about Iran, I will dare anyone to say the President has no balls. That would be one heck of a gutsy offensive.

Thanks for the voice of sanity. Now isn't the time to go off on Gonzalez or the President in such a manner when the Dems are into destroying this government.

"Yeah, right. The people here who are suffering from BDS wouldn't support him no matter what he does."

It's amazing, the Lefties say the same things as the Islamists and expect no one will notice and the right-trash BDSers say the same things as the Lefties and expect no one will notice.

On the web.

I have seen Gonzalez testifying and he doesn't come across well, IMHO...rather timid and uncertain. Of course that is just my opinion.

But, I don't have much faith that he will put out these arson fires...

It will be up to President Bush to stand behind him...even if the dems don't accept how he "acts"..because we all know that it doesn't matter what Gonzalez says so much as how determined he is..and how unbending.

I agree. The conciliatory tone is a sign of weakness. POTUS took it to 'em and rightly so!
