I agree. The president and his team are canny enough to turn this to our advantage. Whatever we can do to distract the Dems away from the
"shut down the war effort" and cause them to chase their own tails HAS to be a good thing.

I mean, honestly, has the Libby indictment done ANYTHING productive? (Which is not to diminish the fact that this is hard on Libby)

And you're right...I think "The Whiner Club" has reached critical mass and may just get shoved to the back of the bar.

More importantly than whether we agree with him, he rarely seems to be right about what he says anymore.

I am listening to Mitch McConnell on with Hugh Hewitt...Hugh asked him about Bush's speech.

Mitch said it is now up to the Dems...to see if they will back off of a confrontation that would make this more ugly than they have already made it.

Hugh asked him what he thinks will happen..and Mitch said he would bet that the dems will force the issue of the subpoenas for Rove, Miers and others.....

Hugh asked Mitch if Schumer will succeed in getting the President to get rid of Gonzalez..and Mitch said that the President has the final word, and the Republican Congress should get behind that decision.

The Judge is hardly a liberal. Quite conservative and a staunch constitutionalist. But, I don't agree with him much lately.

You can't fire career people just because a new President comes in. So who do you mean should be fired? The enemy has embedded themselves in career status, in many instances.

While he was busy pardoning all his friends during his last days in the Oval Office, Bill Clinton did take the time to make almost ALL his political employess CIVIL SERVANTS before he left office.

Kind of like a shadow government or a "government in waiting," if you will.

I know...does the IAF participate?...we'd have to give them overflight rights in Iraq, and possibly refueling/recovery from our bases in Iraq.

...and the Republican Congress should get behind that decision.

This is at least 25% of the problem. The president can't count on his own party to back him up.

OT: Brit is going to show (I think) the YouTube video of Hillary in that 1984 ad.

He absolutely does not.

But I tell you who does: all the Republicans who do NOT stand with this man right now.

Reagan was never afraid to take on the RATS or the MSM. It's about time Dubya did. I think everybody, including Hannity, who've said he finally got fed up, nailed it. You can only turn the cheek so many times...
