If he did this for the next 18 months, I'd be happy as hell.

Interesting observation at #380. Nothing would please me more than to see the Dems forced into offering up support for Bush during this time of war.
Always good to see Bush with his back up.

...and Bret said that the White House admits it waited too long. I mentioned this waiting game and turning the other cheek game in my e-mail to the WH. I told the president that although his goal to change the tone in DC was worthy, it hadn't worked and had only emboldened the Democrats and media, and that I appreciate his strong stance tonight.

Need legal opinion here...The case would be filed in the DC court...or maybed the DC Court of Appeals will take jurisdiction immediately. Not sure how that works, btu I think they can do it..expidited hearing, I think it's called..the DC circuit is in pretty good shape, I think...and when it's appealked to SCOTUS...well, I exxpect Roberts/Scalia/Alito et al to do the heavy lifting..

Then I asked him to pardon Scooter and the two Border Patrol agents...

GW is staying with the AG but Tancredo wants him gone. Who is caving??? Tancredo may have valid objections to AG ... just as Ron Paul may have had valid issues with the war ... but both of them were foolish and self-defeating in their timing, lending credibility to Democrat attacks at a crucial time.
At any rate ... good goin' President Bush on pushing this one back in their face.

Can he block subpoenas? He can ignore them. Congress has no way to enforce them since they are not the Executive Branch.

Judge Napalitano..just said that Bush CAN'T keep Rove and them from having to submit to subpoenas...even if it goes to the Supreme Court.. I think it's a foregone conclusion that there will be a Supreme Court confrontation over seperation of powers before the end of his term possibly over this. IMO, Shoooomer, Leaky, Reid, Pelosi et.al. will use the judiciary to bring on this confrontation.

Another possibility...there is practically a war between Hamas and Fatah. They keep talking about trying to merge them into a "unity government", but blood has been spilled and there is deep rivalry, anger, suspicion, etc. They go from killing each other in the morning to talking about negotiating a deal in the afternoon. I'm thinking Jennifer's security was going downhill fast in that she couldn't count on anyone or anything for sure in that chaotic, fluid situation. I don't discount your thought, just adding mine.
