Al Gore Challenged to International TV Debate on Global Warming
PERTH, Scotland, March 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a formal invitation sent to former Vice-President Al Gore's Tennessee address and released to the public, Lord Monckton has thrown down the gauntlet to challenge Gore to what he terms "the Second Great Debate," an internationally televised, head-to-head, nation-unto-nation confrontation on the question, "That our effect on climate is not dangerous." Monckton and Gore have once before clashed head to head on the science, politics, and religion of global warming in the usually-decorous pages of the London Sunday Telegraph last November. Monckton calls on the former Vice President to "step up to the plate and defend his advocacy of policies that could do grave harm to the welfare of the world's poor. Debates are not the proper way to conduct a sober assessment of science with regards to the determination of public policy. This is a publicity stunt by Monckton. Debaters can skew interpretations in a debate just like good defense lawyers can convince a jury to see the facts in a "new light" in order to get a client off.
A FRIGHTENED population is more likely to give up freedoms and rights to a government promising to “SAVE” them from even a bogus danger.
Could ALGORE’S psychosis about GLOBALONEY WARMING be yet another effort by the privileged elites to keep the great unwashed (that’d be the rest of us!) under their very well manicured – and in his case, quite fat -- thumbs?

He probably will refuse. If he did attend, it would have a negative effect on his income from his crazy ideas. But he has a lot of followers that listen to ANYTHING he says.

And neither is Gore’s fossil-fueling his way around the globe with a Powerpoint presentation of lies and distortions. Serious assessments of science don’t get television ratings and movie reviews. High powered public bantering does. The scientific debate can still take place in more somber settings without ring announcers.
Gore isn’t a scientist and does not merit a scientific response. He’s a dancing bear and deserves a whipping and a muzzle.
Big Al should be soiling his (rather large) drawers right about now. He (and his inconvenient truth) will be shown to be the fraud he is for ALL the world to see.
Unless of course, he just shrinks and scuttles away like the bottom dweller he is.
