Would you vote for a Giuliani/Thompson ticket?

This makes sense to me, but what do you think? Would it ease the fears of the more conservative to have Thompson as veep? Since Fred was a Senator from Tennessee it makes sense to have a Southener paired up with a New Yorker. Rudy has a higher profile and is already high in the polls so he makes more sense as the Presidential canidate.

Not a chance in hell I would vote for JulieAnnie. Not even if they were Republican Pres/VP nominees.

The recently released film of Rudy sucking up to the NARAL crowd has done him immeasurable harm. It's one thing to hold a theoretical "let everybody do whatever they want" point of view and quite another to grovel on cue and repeat the femi-nazi slogans verbatim.
Many conservatives are willing to accept a "flawed" candidate so long as he's electable and strong on national defense. They aren't going to be willing to accept the lapdog we see performing in that film clip.

I voted for Alan Keyes twice in the GOP primary. So that tells you right there what sort of GOP voter I am. And I would vote for Giuliani/Thompson in a heartbeat. Alternative is Hillary! or Obama--are you kidding me? I held up Roy Moore for Governor signs on a hot Pell City street corner during last year's Republican primary in Alabama.
And I, too, would likely vote for Giuliani over Hillary/Obama/Edwards. Even though Rudy does not share my principles, I would probably conclude that voting for him advances those principles (or at least limits the damage to them) moreso than the alternatives.
Understand, it's not a slam dunk for me ... I would have to ponder it awhile.
But it is way too early to throw in the towel on electing a conservative in 2008.

Gladly. Also possible:
Rudy/Rice
Thompson/Lieberman

No, I might consider a Fred/Rudy ticket. I don't want a New York centric in the WH. Most of the country is West of the Hudson and that might come as a surprise to many. And I especially don't want a cross dressing, gun grabbing, gay supporter to occupy the WH.

I will answer you here. If you read down through the posts. It is obvious. If Thompson is in the lead role you might have, and I say might have, something people could deal with.
Look at all the no's. People can sometimes give a little, but Rudy is not going to go at the top of the ticket.
I know I won't go for it.

No, it wouldn't ease my fears. I'd be much happier with a Thompson/Giuliani ticket! And give Giuliani the level of responsibility that Pres. Bush has given VP Cheney.

Tancredo/Thompson or Thompson/Tancredo: yes
Thompson/Paul or Paul/Thompson: yes
Thompson/Hunter: yes
Thompson/Gingrich: yes
Other combinations of the above named individuals/other good, real conservatives: very interesting, and I'd likely give them some thought
Rudy McRomney/anyone else or anyone else/Rudy McRomney: not if you held a gun to my head.

No,
I like Fred, but I do not vote for the VP. Giuliani is a pro baby killer, gun grabber and pro rump wrangler and very soft on taxes, the global warming scam and on and on.

Man I am so tired of the that line. Just give me my cigarette and blindfold - shoot me or hang me or lethal inject me. It's all the same if you put it that way. No wonder Conservatives have a vacuum of leadership if that is the best reasoning you can come up with. I for one am tired of two crappy choices for national office.

Nope.
I'll vote Thomson/(insert name hear) if he can be convinced to run.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. He can get people excited about the race, and bet anything the demorats can come up with!

Nope. No Rudy, under any circumstance. Not even if I were the deciding vote in the General election.
