Shhhh. That's the sound of the "We need Rudy because he's the only one who can beat Hillary" balloon leaking badly.

I wonder if I could poll 40% against Hillary?

Why do you think the media is trying to cram McInsane and Jullie-Annie down the Republicans' throat? Those are the two candidates that could split the conservative voters from the party and give the hildabeast a chance...

Never forget that GWB got a higher percentage of votes from Berkly, CA than the Washington press corp...

Brownback is a bigger stupid ass than Hagel. We are willing guests of the Iraqi government. We don't tell other countries and civilisations what to do. All the U.S. wants is normal country-to-country relations. That's all.

Bumping this for the list's perusal. Wonderful speech on the Christians United For Israel server. That's all I know about him at this time. I would be interested in people filling me in further.

Maybe, but everyone's heard of Shrillary. That's why Sam is nearly within the margin of error for this poll.

Now if he were to get half (or even a quarter) of the media coverage she gets in the media, he'd do much better.

Right now the MSM is trying to sell Guiliani, Romney and McPain. Why? Because they're not conservatives. IMO of course.

Is that because you don't keep up? Are you serious? He is a former doctor and now a senator.

Except that I have more hope for Romney than the other two. He is saying the right things. Remember that Reagan was not always Reagan.

I am very disappointed that Brownback did not back the troop surge - which is why I will not support him or Chuck Hagel/Schmegel.

I'm concerned about Romney “because there’s a lot of people who are running to him because he suddenly and conveniently switched from being an ardent, hardcore pro-abort.”

He's not only pro-abortion but, from what I've read, he would go as far as wanting to use tax dollars to pay for abortions. He even “mandated marriage licenses to homosexual couples even after his supposed pro-marriage conversion.”

Is Romney's conversion for real, or is he simply saying anything to get elected?

See: Folger urges conservatives not to settle for GOP frontrunners.

It makes a good case for not settling for The Three RINOs.

However, remember that Ronald Reagan and W.'s father were not always pro life. Whether they switched as a matter of convenience is not of much concern to me - what is, IS WHAT THEY WOULD ACTUALLY DO. I used to be pro choice and switched sides after I read about partial birth abortion. That was the breaking point for me and I became completely pro life. More people go from pro choice to pro life than the other way around.

"Nobody ever heard of Brownback."

I agree. This poll has to be some kind of anomaly.

It would further the factionalism that is roiling Iraq. Interestingly, Iraq histotically has never been divided according to sects. The Turks did divide it three ways, but with borders that went horizonally based on the North, the central and the South, and were generally based on the major cities in those regions: Mosul, Baghdad and Basra.

If you pay attention to politics, you've likely heard of Senator Brownback. You've heard of Bob Dole, right? Of course! Sam Brownback won Dole's Senate seat in 1996 after Dole resigned his seat to run for President.

Are there really people who have never heard of him?

If nothing else this demonstrates that the Hillary thing can be beaten by a conservative candidate. Everybody's heard of Clintoon, but Brownback (who "nobody ever heard of") still did very well. IMO, of course!
