I have trouble believing this poll.
Nobody ever heard of Brownback.
Looks like the "unsinkable" Hillary is taking on water.
Perhaps they were "anybody but her" choices.
He has as much chance of getting the Pubbie nomination as Chuck Hagel.
This poll is a joke!
It really is early in the race.
Precisely. There are a lot of people like me who would vote for a piece of toilet paper i used to wipe my rear end with over Hillary Clinton.
Ditto. Ridiculous.
Another rousing tribute to Rudy Giuliani!
Which is exactly why the Dems are working overtime to bring in Gore.
I am not so sure about that. After all the poll identifies Brownback as a Republican. HRC's negative favorability rating is extremely high for a primary candidate, 48%, even higher than Gingrich. The 41% for Brownback probably represents a significant number of voters who do not wish to see a Clinton II administration.
Sam Brownback is a wonderful candidate! Get to know him; he brings a lot to the table! Go Sam!
In the general election, a certain percentage of people will vote for the generic Republican, which Brownback is.
I reviewed the candidate's positions earlier and as I remember Brownback was inferior in my view to the other candidates, even the minor ones.
But I'd still vote for him against Hillary if he somehow made it to the general election, and that's sort of the point, no?
D
That 46% may very well be her ceiling. No amount of advertising is going to change anyone's mind. This is good news for true Conservative candidates.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Brownback is with the Democrats on that one: SURRENDER is the solution in the War in Iraq.
"He said the U.S. is fighting militant Islam and should not get into an irreconcilable fight between Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq. Brownback said the government should push for a political solution and separate Iraq into three regions: Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite. That would cut America's death toll substantially, he said."
On immigration:
"Republican presidential candidate Sam Brownback said Monday the U.S. must simplify immigration policy to make it easier for more legal aliens to get into the country while focusing attention on criminals trying to cross the borders."

I totally agree with: "He said the U.S. is fighting militant Islam and should not get into an irreconcilable fight between Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq. Brownback said the government should push for a political solution and ****separate Iraq into three regions: Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite. That would cut America's death toll substantially, he said."****
THAT is a prescription for disaster. Considering that Iraq has a Shia majority, it would give rise to another Iran to support terrorism, ally themselves with Iran, give a base to the terrorists and totally destabilize the Middle East.
You can be forgiven for being misguided, but anyone seeking the presidency automtically disqualifies himself for being so incredibly ignorant and proving himself to be a danger to the survival of the US.
He may be a wonderful candidate, until we get to amnesty, and open borders, he comes down on the wrong side of that one. Having witnessed the disaster called the 86 Amnesty, from ground zero, since it's inception, all I can say is, No thank you!
Now that's delicate! You refined what I was thinking just now with stronger words. You must be a gentleman.
